Whilst it is not pleasant for anyone to lose their job, I am not surprised at all to see this.
The results are really unacceptable considering Roth have lost four games out of ten played to leave them well adrift of Fylde and Sedgley Park, and are also behind Hull Ionians and Otley, meaning that their challenge for the single promotion slot is all but over. For a club with the pedigree of Roth this is extremely disappointing considering the squad they have and regrettably the coach has to shoulder the responsibility. The poor performance against Sheffield Tigers was probably the final straw following disappointing results at Hull Ionians and particularly against Fylde, where a 16-41 defeat, even considering Fylde are a fine side, should not be happening at home. Roths next game is away at Otley on 26th November. Edited by Rothman2 - 17 Nov 2022 at 15:32 |

Big, lumbering pack will always struggle against the likes of Fylde, especially 2nd half

To be fair I expected Roth to sweep everyone aside this season. They have a powerful mobile pack, fastbacks but they give up too many of their own line outs and penalties in positions where they should be getting tries. The discipline is very poor. Too many yellow cards.
Problem has to be the coaching. For Roth to be where they are at this stage is not acceptable.

I have to be honest, knowing the finances involved when they were in National 1. I am suprised Rotherham are not at Level 3. And as mentioned by other posters expected them to be sailing at the top of Nat 2.
