The top two lose, it is now just 7 points separating the top 7, and Plymouth in 11th are only 12 points from the top - what a league !

The score line today at Chinnor doesn't reflect how close the game was - Cambridge deserved their bonus point at the end

Superb performance by DMP today, hard job picking Man of match, great performances all over the pitch. Moseley played well but DMP defence was amazing, handling great....just a great all-round effort.

It was a game where everything clicked for Mowden. The restarts were gathered, the ambition and execution were spot on, and Moseley were not allowed to play. It was a superb team performance, Morgan Passman showing he is a quality player with footballing skills as well as blistering pace, and I thought Joe Craggs had a great game at open side, at almost every breakdown, often a link player in attack and making countless tackles.

From Ralph Appleby to Callum Irvine, 1 to 15, everyone impressed and no one had a disappointing game. Mowden harassed Ben Palmer, Moseley's flyhalf, to the point where he looked a little shellshocked and could not orchestrate any attacking moves. In contrast, Warren Seals played brilliantly and was flawless from the kicking tee.

Albion's comeback against "the mighty Mond" at the RAG was heroic. Not so much David v Goliath, but more like calm self belief and opportunity-taking in the face of a grim outlook. Hosts could/should have nailed the door shut, but we found a way round - or even straight through and triumphed. Well done all round.
Come cheer up, my lads - 'tis to glory we steer!

Thank you fat bear - I have to say Chinnor were impressive and deserved the win.
We made them work for their tries but they were able to keep possession and build pressure until we eventually cracked.
I note we have still scored more points and have a better points difference - we just cannot win games.
I think we will both be here next year and maybe we can secure a second win in Thame -  we only ever won their in our promotion season.

The Cinders v OE match was a great game, between two good sides.

The first 30 minutes were end to end, with both sides defensively solid, but with line out drives eventually providing tries for both sides.  At 30 minutes the score was 12-12 and it was as close as we all expected.  The game turned on a sixpence when Cinderford were lucky to escape a yellow for a high tackle, and then within minutes OE's did receive a yellow for a tackle in the air.  In the few remaining minutes leading to half time Cinderford used the extra man to put two further scores on the board.  At 24-12 the Cinderford faithful were hopeful of a comfortable win in the second half, especially with the OE's coaches and number 5 ranting at each other as the teams left the field.

Whatever was said in the OE's dressing room at half time, to calm the tension and re-organise, was clearly effective.  Cinderford started the second half strongly and but for a poor chip kick might have stretched their lead after only 5 minutes of the second period, but the rest of the match was spent in Cinderford territory.  OE's dominated the last 30 minutes, but Cinderford's defence stood resolute.  Two penalties brought OE's with striking range, but they just could not get the final try to secure the points.  When the whistle finally went there was huge relief amongst the foresters, after securing their first ever win over OE's.

The OE's scrum half was excellent, and caused Cinderford trouble all afternoon, but Cinderford had plenty of quality on the park and showed why they now have to be considered contenders for the top 3.  OE's kicked well all afternoon, but Cinderford once again showed a weakness when kicking from hand, and it nearly cost them.

All in all a great tight game, with some good quality on show.
