New Zealand 47 Fiji 5 - didn't expect such a large difference in scores
South Africa 64 Portugal 21 - foregone perhaps but good for Portugal to score 3 tries Japan 14 Italy 42 - what happened to Japan Australia 40 Georgia 29 - on the face of it, great result for Georgia (6 tries to 4) Reds 35 Wales 36 - 6 tries to 5 but only 3 conversions for Wales Chile 11 Scotland 52 - always difficult for Chile but learning curve Uruguay 5 Argentina 79 - an even steeper learning curve Comment to follow (Chinese has arrived ) Edited by FHLH - 21 Jul 2024 at 20:31 |

Great result for Spain. Vamos!
Their U20s recently beat Fiji. So good news on the spread of rugby west of the pyrenees.
And South Africa had Esterhuizen (correctly) sent off in the first 10-15 minutes. |

To be fair, they lost their last two matches against Italy, both of which were under Jamie Joseph. They have not beaten Italy since 2018. |

Just saw that former Ealing flanker Carlo Tizzano has been called up to start for the Wallabies against the Spring Boks. He was amazing, and only was with Ealing for half a season before getting snapped up by a super rugby side
