Having seen a replay, Sir was correct - the quick tap was within close proximity to the infringement by the Jersey 9. The Falcons player drops the ball backwards, and a team-mate picks up and the try is scored. Sir then comes back to YC the Jersey 9 - all looked pretty fine to me.

I looked closely at the highlights and it seems to me that the Falcons are constantly off side. They `creep` forward and are never at the back foot. Their collective anticipation ( offside ) is exceptional. Any team given the chance to speak to the ref pre match should emphasise the back foot and the creep.

“All credit to Bedford for stepping up and scoring four tries ( although one was blatantly a forward pass at 6:45 on Youtube from the replacement scrum half “
Very patronising No 7, you should know better than that. You have the money at the moment, what happens when it disappears? Gate receipts? Edited by Cricks at 2 - 23 Sep 2019 at 20:54 |

There have been citings for swearing !. There are citings that take three official hearings before a decision is made where they are obviously borderline. There are clear cut off the ball incidents that none of the officials have spotted but are clearly shown and have video evidence.

I agree and take it back. From where we were standing you could not see the stooping forward tap the ball, it seemed to come out sideways in continuous play. With regards to players ‘creeping ‘ at the breakdown, this has been getting more and more frequent at all levels of the game, but seems to be more prevalent the higher the level of the game |

Disappointed to hear that swearing is not considered serious particularly if it aimed at the officials. I would have thought that a citing is a citing and it is up to those investigating rather than those making it to decide whether it is a serious incident or not.

That is why at Championship level and above, the club does not cite a player, but the citing officer does. A club may suggest that the citing officer may wish to look at an incident, but it up to the citing officer to decide whether the incident is serious enough (ie red card level), and then if appropriate cite the player and thereby put the process of a disciplinary hearing in place. |

George Davis left the Field and according to a Bedford fan on here was staggering all over the pitch and needed assistance to leave the field. He will not be able to play for several weeks. You might think it deserves a grinning face but ironically you are........"Disappointed to hear that swearing is not considered serious " Your choice and your opinion !.

In my opinion the act of citing can only begin with a club producing a statement and evidence to the citing officer. Making the claim ( citing ) for the citing official to make a decision to investigate further and make the decision for further action against a player. The definition of citing or being cited is the production of evidence or statement and that can only be the club . |

Apparently Ollie Stedman picked up a 3 week ban for punching a Hartpury player last week. Reported on the champrugby official twitter.

You can believe what you like. That is not how it works at Championship level.
