A harder fought and more competitive game than the final score would suggest, but largely dominated by the referee's whistle with a balanced but very high and pretty evenly balanced number of penalties.(30).

I'm glad to see the 5 points to nil, but somewhat concerned by the state of the Coventry fly half Richman, seen on crutches after he was taken off,  and the failure to return from an HIA of Coventry high-scoring winger  Hutler following a hands-free charge head-to-head tackle when another wise clear run to the line beckoned. This did result in a red card for the Nottingham player, and could reasonably have been given as a penalty try. Hopefully both these key players will recover and be available for the next round. Equally hopefully the disciplinary panel will ensure that the defender is not available for some time.
