Sometimes when a link it copies, it manages to include a trailing space, which you cannot see.

But it gets converted to %20 in the link text - and causes the link not to work.

If we were forced to choose between Wasps, Worcester and London Irish, then which would be preferred? Personally, I would choose Worcester, as they have a stadium, and a passionate fan base.  They would also add to the geographic spread of the league. They were ruined by Cowboys. London Irish would be good for Ealing, as their fans always showed up in large numbers, and they didn't hurt too many people when they went bust. Wasps hurt lots of people, have messed around their fans, and Dallaglio annoys me.

Gun to the head? Then, Worcester.
But only with that gun.

London Irish owed over £50m, partly to Powerday, but also to HMRC and Sport England.
130 people were made redundant.
And the future of the amateur club is still not resolved, as we do not knwo who will buy Hazelwood.

Latest from London Irish Amateurs, per the residents' association website:

"Following the recent press coverage and social media posts regarding the possible re-forming of the London Irish Professional Team, I am writing to provide you with an update on our project to secure a long term home for London Irish Amateur RFC at Hazelwood.

Our position
London Irish Amateur RFC has a long lease over much of Hazelwood.  The site is also subject to very detailed planning obligations, requiring it to be used for community rugby, community sports and other community activities.  In further recognition of the site’s status, Spelthorne Council recently accepted our application to register Hazelwood as an Asset of Community Value.

Increased Community Usage of Hazelwood
As we informed you some months ago we are partnering with the London GAA and Brentford Football Club Community Sports Trust in our project to acquire Hazelwood for the community.  We are now seeing both organisations increasing their usage of Hazelwood.

Extensive Support for our Plan
We are confident our plan is deliverable and it has extensive support from our members, partners, and the community.

Engagement with other bidders
We have always accepted it is possible another party may acquire Hazelwood and thus become our landlord. Since the administration we have engaged with a number of these parties. Our position remains we are happy to discuss with any bidders how Hazelwood could be shared.

London Irish Amateur RFC will not be making any comment on the recent media reports.

We strongly believe Hazelwood must remain a community asset. We have a plan which achieves this."

In other news, the RFU have reset the boundaries of the academies from next season, and the school in Sunbury which previously ran the London Irish ACE will now be working with Harlequins.  Seen lots of people in Quins kit wandering around Hazelwood in recent weeks, so expect that the ACE will still be based there rather than at Quins' training ground in Guildford.

A difficult choice but I know who would be third on my list!

The common thread between those three clubs, is that none of them are clubs, they are names of clubs with snazzy logos. The last time any of them actually played a game of rugby was more than two years ago for Wasps and Worcester and May 23 for LI.

London Irish and Wasps have no players to form a team let alone a squad, no coaches, no venue to play in, no academy and don't have three years of accounts (a requirement for prem 2) to show. They don't have most of the requirements to enter prem2 based on the documentation.

Worcester are ahead of the other two because they can satisfy the venue requirements. However, they don't have any players, coaches nor do they have three years of accounts for an operational business.

If any of the three get through this ahead of a club that can satisfy all the requirements (I suspect no one will satisfy them all given you need a camera platform at 7.6metres for some reason) I suspect there will be some form of litigation taking place. Especially given the number of clubs in the top five tiers who've had to start again from the bottom for whatever reason.

The RFU have yet again created another problem for themselves that didn't need to happen.
