No you certainly are not charitable if you refuse entry to recently made unemployed Fly-be staff because their management had not informed them the tickets they were given as rewards for good service were no longer valid. An extra £12 million plus from CVC, announcing a £1 million budget for the women's section but cannot afford to let a handful of people down on their luck into a match. To add insult to injury they offer them tickets for a meaningless A league match. How sad the top flight of rugby has come to this.

I've always cheered for Exeter as a Championship team made good, but I guess they now have fully transitioned to being just another heartless corporation. Really disappointing.

I agree with the above comments however think for clarity the rest of the statement should be included
Mr Rowe said he was "saddened to hear of the airline's demise" but it had "failed to conclude a commercial agreement". He explained tickets were issued to Flybe, who had been sponsors since 2010, and the club did not know some were used as staff incentives. Mr Rowe said airline managers were told "if the deal is off, the deal is off" and that their allocated tickets would not be accepted at the gate. "It appears this key information was not forwarded on to those staff who had been allocated tickets for this game and that of future games," he added. |

It's not great publicity for a team which has had plenty of goodwill from the way they have built themselves up.
First the mumerings of their support for ring-fencing and now this. From what I can gather it was 8-10 tickets. Unless those tickets had been re-allocated and the ground was a sell-out I see no reason why they wouldn't just let them in and then make an official announcement to confirm future Flybe tickets are no longer valid. |

👏🏻👏🏻. I quite agree, Flybe hadn't kept their part of the deal (presumably lack of payment) but to just refuse a few people entry to the game at the gate is really shoddy practice. I have always had a lot of respect for Exeter and its achievements - however to me this really stinks |

What is that statement about knowing the price of everything and the value of nothing. Turning them away saved the marginal cost of a few complimentary drinks included in the hospitality package. But has cost them a vast amount of bad press - made worse by the later statement. They are almost certainly going to work for the next company to take on those routes. Even though they are not in marketing, I cannot see them recommending sponsoring Cheifs. |

You may also imagine that some of the Flybe workers are local residents and these type of things have a trickle down effect to friends and family.
Exeter have been a shining example of something great but with Saracens out of the picture it seems like they are now full of their own self importance which is a real shame Not too late to turn it around though
