It might not be popular, but today lays bare and confirms beyond doubt what I described last week, and was villfied for. These numbers are in the realms of a cricket score.

Results like this don't do anything for the players and clubs involved. A restructure and more competetive 2nd tier is needed, much like the current 3rd tier (see today's results below).

Blackheath v Leicester Lions

22-19

Darlington MP v Sedgley Park

37-37

Dings Crusaders v Bishops Stortford

39-31

Esher v Plymouth Albion

31-34

Richmond v Rotherham

31-29

Rosslyn Park v Rams

27-26

Sale FC v Birmingham Moseley

30-25 Abandoned

This is of course just my opinion, so I hope I don't get told to STFU by anyone.

P.S. Pirates with the result of the day, hopefully this will be their season up and running now.

Bristol 0 Sale 38
Bath 68 Sarries 10
Northampton 61 Newcastle 0

Looks like the Prem has bigger issues

Hopefully they play this badly when the cup restarts.

Indeed, some resounding hammerings in the Premiership today, albeit this forum relates to Level 2 and below I believe, hence my previous post relating to Level 3 - National League 1 - and the truly competetive league that it is (week in week out).
