A communication has been sent to all clubs from the RFU. Your Club Secretary will have received it via email, along with The Chair.

Nothing at Cambridge yet. Difficult sending large numbers of emails, as the SGM organisers found out

Alton, Hampshire (I assume not Alton, Staffordshire) to Dartford Valley, north Kent in a day?

So, Hampshire either have their's early afternoon (when everyone is at work) or Dartford late evening to dissuade East and West Kent club reps coming and getting back late on a weeknight.

Methinks tactical timings may be being employed here.

Robb - everyone running Community Rugby Clubs are in their 70's and 80's so obviously retired so don't have to worry about the "w" word. The mobility scooters will be parked up outside these clubs with the Air Ambulance on standby especially when any of their opinions are shot down in flames by the paid heirarchy who obviously know a lot more about the game than a gathering of old farts

Happy to be disabused, but I understand that Championship clubs have not been included in the circulation.

I assume that the Sedgley Park meeting is in the morning so the bits can get back home after an overnight stay.

7 afternoon meetings is a bit strange, unless planned to be inconvenient.

Looking at the size of some of the venues big numbers are nor expected.
Does the invite include non committee members of club.
What is the agenda. Are questions to be invited or is it “We will tell , you will listen”.
More questions than answers.

Limit of 2 people per club - "ask any questions you may have" is what was circulated...

Interesting article from a few days ago - https://news.sky.com/story/demands-government-intervenes-in-dying-rugby-as-hundreds-of-games-cancelled-but-executive-bonuses-increase-13288595

MP Edward Morello states that the government gives the RFU £20.65m to invest in grassroots rugby. It beggars belief that an organisation that turns over c£200m a year only invests £10m of its own cash in the development of community rugby yet finds £60m+ for professional rugby.

They are strangling rugby development and attempting to copy the NFL. Participation will be contained to expensive schools, Universities and then straight to pro. This will stop the need for volunteers/amateur players giving up their time on a Saturday.  They can then be free to pay lots of money to watch franchise rugby behind a paywall.

Bonuses all round.

Precicely my point.

It really does feel like they're scheduling it to be deliberately awkward to try and dissuade club reps turning up to speak and/or vote.
