I realise there'll be those in the 'every word spoken by BS is total BS' camp, but if the RFU's CEO says in late January that next season's Champ will be 14, with the current 12 + 1 up + 1 'invitation' then personally I'd be pretty surprised if that turned out to be wrong. Certainly I'd say more chance of that than the various notional 'blank sheet of paper' ideas that people throw in about how they think things should be structured, as FHLH has above. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I really don't think we'll see that sort of 'root-and-branch' change this year - possibly at some stage down the line...

I admire your optimism!

Not sure Iā€™m especially optimistic, just trying to say how I sense things might turn out.

When will we know the final structure of the league in 25/26 will it be 14 teams with no relegation (Nothing in writing yet) Will there be a franchise club in Prem 2 as it seems that many Nat 1 clubs have been rejected even though the fit the criteria.

Kent Born and Bred, Billy Twelvetrees might also have an opinion

Yes, he's from Chichester. And that is certainly Sussex and definitely not Kent!

Another issue is that clubs such as Blackheath, Rosslyn Park, Moseley or Richmond do not have the rugby heritage of the Wasps brand

Blackheath are one of the oldest rugby clubs in the world 1858 and still in existence .

Moseley were in the cup final three times

Richmonds and Rosslyn Parks history / heritage is on par with Wasps . When I joined Ealing 1982 Ealing had previously played Wasps in their season fixture and because the game was  won by Ealing they dropped the fixture.

Can I just correct that before the purists jump in. Blackheath are the oldest open rugby club in the world. Some schools & hospitals are older but few in existence

I believe one of two things have happened.
Either the Deep RFU have hacked FHLH's computer.
Or he was being sarcastic.
