Ealing Trailfinders Elite Pathway U18s are playing Stade Francais U18s tonight at the Stade Jean-Bouin. KO is immediately after the Stade Francais/Northampton Saints Champions Cup game.

A big day at Ealing yesterday with a double header. Our womens Premiership team beat Bristol Bears in a thrilling game . The win against Cornish Pirates was less thrilling with a depleted Pirates team who fought hard to get the four try bonus point. Ealing did produce some outstanding scores. Montgomery and Toby Wilson both had exceptional games.
The real win was the crowd of 2,700 but it seemed larger to me . A good day for the club all round. We now have the Cup games , next week Saracens away and the following week Harleqins at home.

Great crowd No. 7!
I was asked by a couple of friends last night what the end goal is for Trailfinders - a question I couldn’t answer, so hopefully you or any other fans can! If you take out the Premiership sides who dropped down in the relegation days and Jersey (who went pop four months later), Trailfinders are set to win the Championship for a 10th year on the spin!! They arguably have a 3rd XV which could win it this season. How strong is the feeling among the fan base you should be a Premiership team and does your owner truly want you to go up to the top tier? It seems a shame for such a dominant side to be stuck in limbo and as you say, results like yesterday again do nothing for anyone.

Feom discussion at the ground and whatsapp groups, I would say that the feeling is very strong amongst Ealing fans that we should be in the Prem. We have finished top of the table 3 times in four years, and consistently win 80%+ of our matches. If we finish bottom in the prem, then relegate us, but battering teams with 80 or 90 points on a regular basis is not great for anyone.

Interesting discussion about where Ealing are actually going. Winning almost every week is nice, but surely it's time for them to take the next step.

problem is they cannot without a plan to make the ground fit even the new criteria which still includes planning permission in place to make the stadium up to 10k in four years. Of course they will need to show that they can generate that sort of crowds in recent fixtures the crowd has been shown as 700.

I do not believe criteria requires that you have to fill the seats they just require you to have the (empty ) seats.

I wasn't going to bother to engage further on this, but I will try one more time to educate you. As at that date 30/06/24 (I referred to that date) the company could not pay its debts without the support of the shareholders = insolvent. A statement made by the Directors and agreed by the Auditors. You have even said yourself they were insolvent. I therefore don't understand why you are trying to argue now with yourself now. If you had liabilities of £10k and only assets of £5k, with a loss making business how can you do it without some kind of support? I also don't know why you care so much either, as I said it was small compared to most other clubs and was probably an oversight which may be sorted with some more millions pumped in this year by a charity and Trailfinders Limited.

I don't get it either as they could still do what they are doing with a squad of 35 rather than 60+ players. It is just throwing money away, although I am sure the players are happy to receive the money.

Did Sir Mike Gooley need to build a 3-8 million pound indoor training facility.
The same could be said for the Premiership Women's team and the support of a Amateur team, paying a dedicated team to introduce Rugby to schools. I could go on but every club needs sponsors .
