I watched Bish Stortford v Sedge on YouTube, a lovely game, beautifully refereed, as ST has remarked. I think that is the best Sedgley have played all season.

Top video coverage - no commentary, but ref could be heard, which enhanced the viewing greatly.

Some incredible results today.

Delighted with our 7 tries to 4 win. Was a little worried with this game being on a 4G pitch.

Stand out results today were Sale FC’s 32-18 bonus point win v Richmond, which means we are locked together with them on 63 points, both 4 points behind Rams. Sale looked a good side at the Lane last week.

Result of the day though has to be Esher 54 Rosslyn Park 42. Didn’t see that one coming at all.

A week off for Roth next week although I know there are a few catch up games taking place.

I’m surprised you’re surprised!!!

National League One has always been the exceptional league contest. No one club (regardless of form or stature) are too big for their boots. It’s always has been a very competitive league full of exceptional rugby. That’s how it should be.

The pyramid works very well below the championship. Get behind it.

Well done Esher and Sale, great results.

All the best

Hi Sedge

I’m surprised that you’re surprised that I’m surprised.

Your response caught me by surprise. Just trying to enhance a bit of debate.

A surprising response if I may say so. 😜 ps Great win today for your lads. Speaking of which, were you at the game today? I have been trying to contact Storty without success.

Seriously though I am really surprised by our margin of victory on a 4G pitch. Don’t know how many Bristol lads were in their squad today, not that it bothers me if it is within the rules. Given their home record this year I am absolutely delighted. I know quite a few teams play on this type of surface, but our away record is becoming exceptional, with our only two losses away occurring in the last play of the game on each occasion.

Amazed that the DMP  v Blackheath game was cancelled. According to the Met office it was a balmy 2 degrees overnight and up to 6 degrees by 11am. I'd imagine B'heath are massively pee'd off.

Enjoying life!

Weather hasn’t been great all week and due to the roof the pitch doesn’t get a huge amount of sun.
Even so I was surprised myself when it was called off, especially as Darlington FC played just down the road.

Surprised a decision was made so late if it was in doubt surely would have been done first thing.

DMP have been in contact with us all week. Because of trains up the creek Blackheath had to travel on Friday and before we left the pitch was playable. Overnight in Darlo the weather was much colder than expected. Hence at 11am we had a pitch of 2 halves, one half perfect one half crusty with solid bits. The temperature was rising so there was a possibility that the pitch would thaw but it didn’t enough to let the game go ahead. Peed off yes anything else that could have been done no. So like all good folks we will just blame it on global warming, or the fact that half the pitch is covered by the stand

So many Christians not enough Lions

Sorry lads, have been a bit pre occupied recently as my wife is due in a couple of weeks.

I managed to sneak out for the game today and thought Sedgley were excellent and thoroughly deserved their win. Congrats to all involved. Don't think I'll be back out in the real world until the cricket season!

The pitch was OK on Friday with a forecast of 2 degrees overnight.....dropped to minus 4 overnight and half the pitch...the half that gets no sun, was still frozen and the Ref made the call to postpone!
