The original matrix did say 16, but has now been amended to 14.

This would be a great shame for Rotherham. Harvey has brought success and stability to the Titans during his year or so with us. Everything down to our social media presence has drastically improved. It is the first time in years that the club feels to be on a stable footing. The team he has built is nothing short of brilliant. We were expecting to be in the dog fight this season, hoping to be mid table but to be Third is an amazing achievement by Harvey, the players and the Club.
If he does leave we will all wish him well and thank him for taking us back to Nat 1. You cannot blame someone for taking on a full time role but I would be extremely wary of taking a job at Worcester. Without the RFU gifting them a place at level 2 and an extreme amount of money being put into re launching the club I can see it crashing and burning once again. If it wasn't sustainable before, how will it be now? Who knows. |

I'm sure all their creditors will be delighted to have them back and to re-open supply chains (always assuming the previous unpaid debts didn't put them out of business) Still think this is unforgivably immoral and shouldn't be happening

My working life was spent in Corporate Recoveries. I can only imagine the joy on the faces of the butcher, bakers and candlestick makers who are still owed £s. They may have a ground, but have they got any infrastructure / players? |

What sickens me is these correspondents allegedly from Planet Rugby publish information and then in a further post when someone said “Hope it’s true” and he replied “so do I”.
I see the CEO is denying it. As Sir Humphrey said years ago on Yes Minister, “ First rule of Politics. Never believe anything until it’s officially denied”.

As a Worcester fan who hasn't watched a minute of pro Rugby, televised or otherwise, since the demise of warriors, can I say the return of the club would be welcomed by every butcher. baker and candlestick maker within the city and surrounding area.
The club brought a massive amount of business into the community and their absence has since created a void. £9.6 million has already been paid off the Government covid loan by selling their P shares with arrangements made to pay the balance. I fully understand the naysayers and the keyboard warriors demanding we start from the obscurity of the bottom of the pyramid but the simple fact is the current warriors entity were invited along with others to provide an expression of interest in the new league. This they have done along with what appears to be a reasonable business plan. We may never possess the kudos afforded by the Wasps and Irish names but every home international this weekend will contain former members of our squad. Our latent support and facilities still mean that Sixways will always be a decent place to play and watch Rugby. Personally, I don't see anything other than a deferral and the RFU deciding not to decide on the future of a tier 2. I'll probably continue watching amateur Rugby. Shame. Keyboard warrior here. Also a club founder. I know that if my club were to pull out of the league at any point we would end up at the bottom of the structure. No question.
The tender for prem 2 was concoctied purely to enable clubs like Worcester to come back via the backdoor. 1600 member clubs make up the RFU. Why are you treated differently? Stick to watching Amateur rugby. Play/watch/volunteer. Feel part of the community. Ditch the charade of prem rugby

Hear hear. Worcester Warriors were liquidated in 2022. It is dead. The fact the RFU invited the undertakers of the corpse to apply is frankly an insult to every club in the whole pyramid who earned their position by merit. The idea of bringing a zombie franchise into the 2nd tier is frankly disgusting to the whole concept of sporting integrity.

The corpse of Worcester Warriors is long gone, along with the people who killed it. The only thing actually left is the heart - its supporters. We had nothing to do with the criminality and greed that destroyed our club. We were the ones who stood with the unpaid players and staff at the final game. My children grew up watching Rugby at Sixways. now, I would like to bring my grandchildren. Save your disgust for those who merit it. |

No one is saying that Worcester shouldn't allowed back in the rugby structure, it's where they start that is angering many. The RFU decided to bend/flout/ignore their rules, if the good people at Worcester want rugby at the sixways start at the bottom.

By all means, bring it back (or back Worcester RFC) but start at the bottom like every new club. You can still play at Sixways and take your grandchildren to it. But I think many fans of the dead Warriors just want the pro rugby rather than actually seeing their club fight their way up the leagues and earn their position. Can we all stop calling Worcester/Wasps "clubs".
Wasps isn't a club, it was a team, Wasps FC is a club Worcester Warriors isn't a club, it was a team, Worcester RFC is a club. Clubs have more than one team, clubs have supporters, clubs have minis and juniors, clubs have volunteers organising things, clubs have souls. Teams have stadiums, teams have fans, teams come and go, teams have paid staff organising everything. Parachuting a bankrupted team back into the league structure over the rest of the club structure is short sighted in my opinion. Teams like Worcester/Wasps rely on huge financial support from one or two individuals which as we've seen can have massive implications for sustainability. Personally, I think there are at least four/five actual clubs in National One who would bring significantly more to the table long term than Worcester Warriors. Ultimately there are numerous clubs in National One (and a few in the Championship) that are putting out 3-6 Senior teams this weekend whereas Worcester Warriors and Wasps aren't putting out any. Their amateur counterparts are putting on 5 men's teams this weekend as well as a full cohort of Minis and Juniors tomorrow. If the RFU want to truly grow the game, I think I know where their money would be better spent.....

The problem is those who are running the club now may not have any responsibility for the debts but they are quite happy to use the history of the club in order to jump straight into the new Championship. So my disgust is both for those who ran away from the original debts and for those who want to pick and choose which parts of the old club they want to use to suit their agenda. Start at the bottom watching the new club at Sixways and if you are lucky your grandchildren will be able to see them play there too.
