Cornwall had the 16th man. What crowd there was, about 3,000 by my guess from the streaming pictures, was in Black and Gold. SmilingD had a good afternoon, the Ravens beat Hampshire Women in the Division 2 final. He was there in his official capacity, supporting them. |

A great day for the Duchy. Another win at Twickenham and a 31-19 win for the women
at Richmond, against NL&D. Geddon!

We had a great day out at HQ, even though the result didn't go our way. Although Cheshire had a spirited fight back in the second half, the game was sewn up in the first 10 mins.

Support certainly.made a difference. With 15 to go and Cheshire within three points you could almost see the lift that the crowd gave the men in black and gold. I'll remember for a long time seeing the team arrive through the gates at Twickenham with their supporters serenading them with 'Cornwall My Home' - real.goosebump stuff. Any other county would love to have that level of support - only Yorkshire and Lancashire come close in my experience. And yes, EC women took home a trophy after a stern test against a good Hampshire side. So a pretty good - but very long day. But the drive back to Cambridge not as long as the return trip to Redruth!
