Just a question, how do the clubs see a free week? I understand from a club perspective that it is a loss of revenue. Is the week off beneficial? From a players perspective to give the knocks a rest , or would they prefer to play week in and week out which will be the case at Level 4? Do the coaches see it as beneficial or would they prefer as above to keep momentum going, if winning or if losing? The only other thing is if the RFU do change the league set up it'll make no difference as there will be more weeks off.
Thoughts?

Level 4 normally has a 16 week slog without a break before Xmas (although there have been a couple of seasons recently where there has been 1 week off) It is tough and really tests squad depths. After Xmas the season always seems a little disjointed to me with several weeks off for rearranged fixtures (rarely used in a lot of cases in the South). Not sure which system is best for me. Reduction to 14 teams per division would obviously give 4 extra weeks off. It would be interesting to,get the thoughts of supporters of regional sides who have been recently relegated (I.e. Barnstaple, Wimbledon, Guernsey etc) |

As someone still playing, the rest weeks are very much welcome! With us having so many long away trips, an extra Saturday not travelling to Devon or Cornwall is also welcomed. Of course, there is is the lost revenue argument from losing a home game, but we also save on costs, with having one less bus trip, so I’m not sure it amounts to a huge financial loss overall. |

I think squad depth (or the lack of it) did for Barum at level 4 Raider although I am not sure that playing 4 games less would have made much difference to be honest. Even at level 5 this season with just 24 games injuries are giving us lots of problems. Edited by Barum man - 16 Dec 2019 at 08:18 |

From a fans point of view the more games to watch the better but I suspect that the players appreciate some free weeks. |
