Disappointing second half from Ealing, but Quins defence just too strong. Conditions meant that free flowing rugby was largely off the table and that meant defence was key.

Final point on yesterday: the rugby paper has the Ealing attendance at 2000. This is absurd. There were more than 2000 people seated. The game was heaving, with at least double that number. No clue why the numbers were under reported.

2000 is a very round number, sounds like an estimate to me. I checked on Friday and there were no standing seats for sale so presumed it was a sell out but it felt capacity wasn’t quite full? In previous years when Saracens and London Irish have visited the ground felt busier. Maybe some no shows from Quins given the weather was fairly miserable?
