My reading of the competition rules is that Doncaster are already out. Only the three best second placed teams go through, and Ealing ( 22 ), Gloucester ( 21 ), Leicester ( 20 ) and Bristol ( 20 ) have more points than Doncaster ( 18 ). A Sale win would put them through with either 22 or 23 points and eliminate Leicester. Newcastle are already through as the group winners and can't be overtaken.

A Newcastle win puts Leicester through. If it is a draw Sale need to get the try bonus point to overtake Leicester. Bristol are out regardless of the result.

All of the above assumes the tables on the BBC website are correct...........

Bit disengenuos of you there, were you at castle park to see the game?

I believe knights can qualify with a little help from Newcastle 

No Donny are out, only Ealing through.

Not sure what was disengenuous about my post. I wasn't at the game but from what I hear Caldy were dominated both in attack and defence by all accounts. Men against boys, much as it was last week at Newcastle.

Surprised by the hiding that Cov took today. Leaking 10 tries at home is never a good look, albeit the tills will have been ringing loud for the Midlands derby.

On the other hand, not surprised by Caldy taking another pasting and troubling neither the scoreboard today, nor their final group table total points of 0. It makes you wonder whether Cambridge or Chinnor might have been less limp and made a better fist of it. Maybe next year.
