Charlie Morgan of the Telegraph has drilled down into this a bit more... (failing to alleviate my concerns!!) Hopefully Itoje & Chessum won't emulate Russell & Graham against Ireland (clashing heads in 1st quarter & being forced off with limited cover available from bench) Lock contingencies behind Maro Itoje and Ollie Chessum:

Interesting to read of the 17 eligible non-homegrown players in the Scotland squad 😎
Full country list here Including Gibson-Park, Lowe and Aki (now an Irish citizen - 2024) for Ireland I see England U20 beat Scotland 57-14 last night - it seems easy to see the impact of foreign players on Scotland's full 6 Nations squad and performance - I'm not convinced of the benefit of fielding non-homegrown players other than to give them game time, improve their earnings potential and, of course, increase Scotland's chance of winning the 6 Nations!
