Here’s my one eyed blinkered and biased view on todays events in Rochford. Well back to rugby at last after 4 weeks off and a first time visit to another new ground but I must admit the route the Sat Nav took me into the ground had me wondering if I was going in the right direction but we were okay.As for the game we will put it down to rustiness but have to wonder what was going on with the team of 3 I think I will leave it at bizarre. There was lots of head shaking from both benches. Lovely that Tom Stradwick finally got his 200th cap which should have been against Worthing but at least he marked the occasion with a yellow card, we will need to look at the video to determine what it was for as no one on the sideline saw any offence (similar for Rochford). We got what we went for with a bonus point win but made hard work of it. Couple of decent tries but with a bit more patience could have been more still onwards to Canterbury next week. Reaching the half way point of the season and we sit 4 points clear which is okay but With 4 teams breathing down our necks within a bonus point win we cannot afford any slip ups but we do have a game in hand over 2, lots to play for
