Under Duckworth, Worcester achieved six promotions in six years, built a stadium and built their following from a handful to six thousand.

Exeter did something similar with Tony Rowe's money.

Which proves with the right backing, and hard work, it can be done.

But - and it is a big but - it takes someone willing to invest in the marketing and facilities as much as the players, and there are not that many rugby fans with tens (hundreds) of millions to invest - and the willingness to see it through.

Disagree entirely.
Two up, two down for me. Top and bottom of the Champ..
Never going to happen, but that's my view.

I am saying this year we have had no relegation for 2 years now and the excuses are changes to leagues etc. there should always be an option for relegation even if it’s a play off to make sure the bottom club is still better than the next best in the one below.

Blues were also robbed in a one leg semi final at Worcester with a try late on against them which would have been disallowed with a video ref. They even received an apology from the RFU…. Not that that meant anything!

OK. But it's far too late to change anything for this year.
On the subject of playoffs for relegation/promotion: that's also a no-no. There's always going to be a major imbalance between bottom of the higher league and top (of the lower league) making it an entirely unfair, lopsided competition. Top teams in the lower league must not be forced to strengthen just for a playoff scenario. That should only happen with full knowledge of next season's league status. Failure can be fatal.

I wonder how many of us would actually like to see our club in The Premiership in its current state. Rumours abound that several other Prem clubs are on the brink. Is there, actually, any benefit from joining this failing cartel as it stands?
The amount of money that would need to be pumped in to meet ground criteria, buy Prem shares and build a squad capable of survival is eye watering. Be careful what you wish for.
