If the Woman's world cup is such a big thing why is it only one league, The Champ, starting in October when every other leagues in the Country start on 4th September? effectively 99% of the clubs and their teams will not be watching.

I don't get why the league starts so late. Just start first Saturday in September and finish end of April. Maybe GarethBlues has hit the nail.

It is probably punishment as the cup was meant to take place then!
Only slightly good thing is the crowds at Blues are lower in September, but I much rather us play then.

I would also suspect it’s something to do with the Cartel not wanting to start the season without the 15 Lions players being available as they will not be back from the tour until the first week in August. These players need the mandatory down time.

“Franchise” being bandied about a lot.
Someone please explain to me who is the Fanchisee, and who is the Franchisor? You might want to consider how a franchise actually works…ie McDonalds or Subway for example. Or are you thinking of American Sports Franchises, in which there’s an annual draft with the worst clubs getting first pick of the year’s new players. Either way, there’s absolutely nothing like either case going on here.
