The pie is much better at Clifton Road from personal experience.

We remember the Bishop - and how your team usually beat ours!

And we remember a very full Sixways thanks to your travelling support.

Everyone knows our rivalry with Worcester just before & after the new millennium.
There used to be loads of banter with the likes of Faithful City Magic P and many others.

They know it’s only tongue in cheek banter. Had a lot of great games with them over the years.

Apologies to any of the younger Wuss Fans who may not know me or be aware of the rivalry.

I would imagine most people regarded your comment as humour and nothing else. Some souls are very sensitive!

Idiotic childish comment.

It's a very old joke, first used by Archie MacPherson during a crisis at Glasgow Rangers in the 1970s, and has since been applied to Chelsea, hazelnutnal, Leeds and Newcastle to name a few.

Perhaps Worcester should be honoured to be in such company.........

It’s disappointing that a Worcester supporter would ask how the squad will cope at “less developed clubs”. I called it “frankly insulting “ in a previous post and see no reason to change my view.
I’m sure the coaching team answered sensibly but, added to previous comments from Worcester followers that other clubs should be grateful for the inevitable massed ranks of travelling support, some of us are starting to feel rather negative towards the relaunched club.

Can you read?
Read my post again and the later one. Or perhaps you should read my contributions on the National One Board and see how active I am and how seriously I take the game instead of launching into me as though I was some kind of a child.

With a name like Teflon Ted I’d have thought you were a bit thicker skinned or did my attempt at humour go over your head yet again?

Chill out. Without humour we’d all be done for.

So true Fatbear.
Actually mine was based on a joke by Bernard Manning when his team Manchester City were in the second Division only I left the expletives out.

As I said earlier the Worcester guy has clearly had a humour bypass.

I feel that I should take some of the blame as I put together the notes of the recent meeting. My notes were a summary of the sense of what was said in quite a long meeting and were not a word for word transposition. They should perhaps be taken in that light.

Certainly the question was asked but I am sure that it was not meant to be in any way insulting and, as you say, it was answered perfectly properly - and very briefly.  Many players in the squad will have very recent experience of playing in the Championship and will not need or want any totally unnecessary guidance about how to "cope".

As regards the "massed ranks of travelling support" the context is I think important.  Whatever may be thought of the collapse of WW Mark One it was not the supporters' responsibility. But that collapse did leave a void, a void which is now being filled with a great deal of local enthusiasm. That enthusiasm has bought 4,000 season tickets so far and there are indications that coach travel to away games arranged by the Worcester Warriors Supporters Trust will be well patronised. That means of course that money will be spent on tickets and food / drink at the various venues but that must be for the financial good of the league as a whole. It's good business sense. I don't though imagine that any thing like 4,000 WW supporters will travel to away games - so no massed  ranks.

I think one of the problems with all of this is that neither WW supporters nor the supporters of Champ clubs know each other.  Very many of WW's supporters will have only known mostly Premiership rugby and will have no memories of tussles with the likes of Rotherham and Leeds - let alone of games in the league below.  I do hope that over the coming season we can put that right when we meet up  - and for that to continue into the future. I expect WW to be in the Champ for quite a few seasons.
