Not necessarily- there are other clubs do it too. Nottingham play 95% of their home games on a Friday night and we have some away games on Friday nights too (although I think with us a lot of it is to avoid clashing with Forest/Notts County games)

Not so if you look at the home Friday evening games the Saturdays all clash with England games has been clubs policy for a number of years to play any home games that clash with England fixtures on a Friday night.

Asking part time clubs to play Friday night is a tough ask. Probably so they think they will gain an advantage. Proof Blue arent as part time as they make out.

I like a Friday night at Bedford.
I think the Mobbs memorial is also a Friday night.

Amsterdam, Hamburg, Barcelona - might need a thread on it's own but it would be blank - what goes on tour etc!

I think it was April. Wasn't there something about club insurance whereby you couldn't play in May as not covered, and a lot of Easter tours happened in April.

My brain has been affected by the heat. When did we play on the 70s? Was it September to March or April? I know we played every week but not sure if it was 26 or 30 games.

Doncaster Knights will have to play the elimination game as you well know Knightsboy- we are not the favoured team.

I wouldn't be surprised if the right team wins the champ play offs, there won't be a promotion playoff with the Prem team, just promotion.

Anyone have any idea on the playoff dates? Are these going to be the immediate weekends following the end of the regular season or is there a week break?
Prem rugby final is 20th June, so I would expect the promotion playoff (if there is one) to be w/e 13th and 20th June. There are 4 weekends between then and the end of our regular season and 3 weekends needed for our playoffs. So there will be a week gap somewhere, I assume either at the start or the end. Has it also been confirmed who has the 2nd leg of the promotion final at home? I could take an educated guess… Edited by Bluesman11 - 11 Jul 2025 at 08:46 |

Bluesman, “Random fixture generator”.
Yeah right. I’m just surprised they didn’t send us to Caldy or Cambridge for Rd1 to show us what the Champ is all about.

That does sound like the same way the fixtures are generated at counties levels.

Away to Aspatria would have been reasonable. Gives Worcester (name?) to get some gate money to pay off rugby creditors that were to be paid before the start of the season - but perhaps they have. Note to self, stop criticising Worcester

Completely random fixture generator giving Worcester a home game to start against a reasonably local side? Nobody saw that one coming!

Wish they change the matrix so you don’t play the same team home and away 1st and last game, having said that Blues will prefer drier conditions v Ealing generally.
