To say that the Prem have gotten it wrong with the Prem Cup format this year wpuld be an understatement. 2 groups of 5, playing home and away. So basically you play half the league 4 times. They've managed to stretcher a series of meaningless dead rubbers even longer than previous format. It will take a lot of Red Bull to keep punters awake through that competition.

I reckon the last two words in this thread title are superfluous.

Prem Cup

Aren’t you glad we don’t play in it.

However I see the other code are bringing back a 14 team Super League.

Should the Prem be 12 or 14 clubs?

The older I get, the more the RFU leave me confused.

Don't be silly we haven't got 14, or even 12 that meet the minimum criteria! 😂😂

Assuming the ten do, then 12 is trivial - Worcester and Doncaster are known to comply.

If being in the premiership was financially viable, there are quite possibly close to 100 grounds that meet the criteria - and I am sure some of them would love an extra income stream.

But, currently, it is an extra cost centre.

Ospreys and Cardiff probably fit the criteria.

Good point TB

Welsh and Scottish teams would have made this competition more interesting for us season ticket holders.
