Congratulations on the promotion.

You will only get 26 games, not 30, so you do get a few more weeks off than you would have had you come up last year. But even before the reduction in the number of matches, the Christmas and Easter breaks are already sacrosanct.

Except that there is no Easter break this season! The plan for a 26 week season includes a break week in November, at least one at Christmas and the usual 2 or 3 to cover for bad weather in Feb/March.

I had missed the fact there was no Easter break this season.
The breaks for the 26-week season match the current pattern for level 5.

But tell your Treasurer that there'll be two fewer home games and to budget accordingly!

This whole discussion is very frustrating, in my mind. As a supporter of Worthing, Like other members one of the joys is the weekends away enjoying the local hospitality and visiting new clubs and making friends. I am sure it is the same for so many in Nat 2. We choose to spend our money on trips. The players sign up to a club knowing the commitment with travel required and are compensated for it to play Rugby at this level.
Perhaps if the RFU spent less on the England coaching team and water carriers we would not be in this situation
Another one against the head

Perhaps the England team would get better results if they were on a small basic fee and bonuses for each match point

Steve......I think that is called the 'Welsh system' and they are quids in again this year.  Long may it continue WinkClap

our own budget chaps will likely be quite relieved by the two defeats.......11 consecutive wins must have been a serious pain in the pocket. Ouch

A great run since Christmas always builds up the pressure at exactly the wrong time bearing in mind the succession of very difficult fixtures.

A would re-iterate, The Raiders have had a very good season with 5 out of 7 defeats ending in losing bonus points. I have been particularly impressed by our pack which is a lot better equipped these days - we even score tries from mauls
