Just getting back into the groove, and the league has a week off.
Okay so Womens World Cup. However I might also go to a local club, both playing Merit Table matches. Hopefully we can find a match live or on television. Unless that gardening job has to be done tomorrow. Enjoy whatever you are doing. But I hate how quick this break arrived. |

Although I now reside in Yorkshire, I spent the first 21 years of my life living in Kempston. Ashdale Avenue. Who are you thinking of watching. Is there still a team at Igranic? Bedford Swifts?

Arrived at Kempston, sadly no opposition.
However with 25 players a 10/10 training game was played. Including an international student from nearby Cranfield University. Spoke to a committee member, they are playing Merit League as they want to play social rugby. Many clubs in the region getting penalised for not having enough cover for positions in matchday squads, matches forfeited. Kempston are in their centenary season, and social rugby, getting players to have fun, a chit chat in the bar is the ethos. How many clubs at the lower end of the leagues are going to go this way is the question. Especially as we witness the turmoil in the professional game?
