Cov came out of the traps, with the bonus wrapped up in 15 minutes or so. Settled down a bit now, as usual.

Next season is shaping up well. I expect Ealing and Jersey to compete again, but Cov and Bedford are looking good this season and will be in the mix next. Pirates have been rebuilding and will be better next season as will Donny. The other teams in the league are all very capable of beating any side on their day …. Caldy against Ealing for instance. Already looking forward to September!!

Today Jersey showed why they are the second best team in the league. The Reds were excellent for the whole 80 minutes. They had a really big but mobile pack and the offloading and the angles of running in the back line were  fantastic. I actually don’t think Donny played badly, our performance today was better than in some of our wins at home this season. We just came up against a great team who are playing with a lot of confidence. That was easily the best Reds team I’ve seen at Castle Park.

I can't agree that the Reds were excellent for 80 mins. The 1st 45 seconds weren't great, 7-0, but more seriously/significantly the period either side of half-time was loose and ill-disciplined from the visitors, a man went to the bin & and it looked like we might allow the Knights to take the lead. The lead was just 4 pts for 15 mins and the Knights were giving it a good crack - fair play to them.

Very strong last quarter from the Reds tho', while home heads went down...

From what I heard on the radio that is just about spot on Islander (you sounded great as always). For me the difference came off of the bench and Jersey were able to turn the screw which broke some seriously spirited resistance by the Knights.

One of Jersey's very best supporters posted on Twitter "Could have gone either way at one point," and I would never expect anything else against a very strong and committed Knights side run by Bodes. I have no doubt they will make Ealing work just as hard at the end of April. Bedford away next and if Jersey climb that hill the best squad in the league at home the week after in front of a raucous board thumping bell ring crowd - it doesn't get any easier but what a brilliant league this season. Howay Jersey proud of you lads.

Ominous for us at GR next week.  I still remember the tanking we received on the Island in the freezing cold of December.  Looks like the pre match lunch is going to be the most enjoyable part; but just maybe if… 🙏🏻

I think that we are all expecting a completely different Blues performance next week to the one that we saw in December Cricks. The team are very aware of the serious threat that Bedford pose, especially at home and will be prepared accordingly. Nothing will be taken for granted and I’m expecting an absolute belter of a game.
