I hope your promotion brings a few extra spectators to your club.
Looking forward to new beginnings.

Good to see the Beeb stepping up. It seems to depend on how enthusiastic the local BBC is. They're very keen in Channel Islands, and have been for many years...

The Championship sides that get decent coverage are Jersey, Cornish and Coventry.

What will happen next season, with cuts to local output and an aim for digital content who knows.
Looking forward to new beginnings.

Jeez - we don't even get a mention on BBC 1/SW for being below L2!

We went through the back door to get on Antiques Road Trip...

Good luck to you both in the Champ.
Come cheer up, my lads - 'tis to glory we steer!

I imagine BBC Radio Devin cover Plymouth Argyle, Exeter City and Exeter Rugby. Plymouth Albi9n I imagine is in the category on a Saturday, mention the score in a post 5pm sports results programme.
Looking forward to new beginnings.

We don't stand a cat in hell's chance on Radio WM when there are five football league or premiership clubs to cover (Villa, Wolves, Blues, Albion, Walsall), and especially not at our lowly level.   They did send a commentary team to HQ when we won the National Trophy, but since then very little interest.

It sounds like BBC Regional TV programmes ignore RU throughout the country.
Up here in East Yorkshire , we have Look North (which should really be called 'Look Lincolnshire). RL and Football dominate this area. RU is generally ignored by Look North and cannot even get a mention in front of the local Ice Hockey team. Hull Ionians could be playing Hull in a local derby,  in front of s huge crowd and we still cannot beat the 'cat stuck up a tree' story.
Then, miraculously, Look North reported on Driffield's tremendous win at Twickenham in the Papa John Cup Competition a couple of weeks ago, and quite rightly so. I believe that the last time Look North had a report on anything to do with RU was 23 years ago, when Hull Ionians lost at Twickenham in the old NPI Cup.
This is a quite shameful way to treat the followers of RU in our area.

We regularly have BBC Surrey at our home matches doing score updates during matches and quite often interviews post-match. It helps that the guy who does it is keen on rugby and has been for many years. Occasionally I’ve done links for them at away matches as well.

I feel your pain, cannot believe that 6pm every week night they do a one hour phone in.

It’s a shame that at some stations sport = football.
I assume they cover Warwickshire Cricket?

But BBC really overwhelm sports output with Professional football. I hasten to suggest Mens football, despite this season being good for Aston Villa Women?
Looking forward to new beginnings.

Will Radio Wales’ current schoolboy Crush and obsession with Wrexham FC continue when the 2 Hollywood benefactors decide they have enough content for their TV series and decide to walk away?

Rugby and CCFC, SCFC and NCFC are all playing second fiddle to the heartwarming story of a plucky, under dog bunch of scamps finishing above global football royalty - Dorking, Bromley and Borehamwood to win the National League title.

As I no longer live in the county, I just did a bit of googling(don't worry they can't touch you for it..........) for local sport news in Leicestershire, BBC nothing, local paper, nothing, local radio, now joined with Derby and Nottingham, used to have loads of local stuff, so clicked News, all about Taylor Swift, clicked features, yep more about Taylor Swift. Football yes other sports nothing, we used to get local fishing match reports as well as all the local soccer, rugby, hockey, bowls, you name it, now it's soccer with the occasional mention of Leicester Tigers, but only one sentence.

Think your wrong there m8, Look North nearly always had reports when Leeds/Yorkshire/Carnegie/Tykes were in the Championship, very Leeds biased, but next to nothing when Donny pushed Bristol all the way in the promotion race in 2016

There’s two Look North’s, East Riding and Lincolnshire the other one is South and West Yorkshire. So both are right.

There’s another Look North based in Newcastle which gives good coverage to Falcons and occasionally Mowden Park.
However, they have less than half an hour to cover News and sport in a patch which covers Cumbria as well as the north east so who would expect a lot of coverage for a “minority sport.”
Good rugby coverage in Northern Echo and Newcastle Journal though.
Totally agree with the coverage of Wrexham FC because of the involvement of a couple of showbiz types who I wouldn’t recognise if they offered to buy me a pint.

It's the same with the news outlets in the north west, quite happy to cover the "fairytale" promotion of Hollywood FC over the border in North Wales; who's manage to snap a selfie with a movie star etc. but very little when it comes to sport actually happening in the region.

Underdogs they very much are not, the money they've spent on wages these past few seasons is eye-watering.

Never mind that there's been a promotion chase from Chester FC at the same time this season, and you can forget any mention at all that there is rugby union/league being played in the region - can't recall anything about Caldy reaching the dizzy heights of level 2 - no, all we get is details of the latest hanger-on being spotted.
