Great news for Wharfedale.
Nice to hear something from a National League Club. Don't know about you but I'm sick of reading about the woes of the Championship.

Rumours from the sleepy old west country down the road from me, Dings have signed three players from Division One Cinderford including Harry Hone. Apparently Dings are expecting to win the division this coming season having been runners up last time out.

Durham county team dominated by Billingham coaches and players this year. Squad  bolstered by a handful of players from level 6 and 7 clubs most of whom have now been “surprisingly “ signed by Billingham - much to the annoyance of the clubs who pushed their lads to play for the County.
Only know one who is Jonny Horner from Stockton who is a very good prospect in the backs. However, not sure level 6 or 7 players are the answer in the national leagues
We will see.

I remember another local club annoying the local Tees Valley clubs when they started splashing the ash. Billingham backs are good enough for level 4, forwards, less so.

Hone is a top player, some signing for Dings, and bad news for Cinders..........

My knowledge of geography must be out of date! I did not realise that Dings and Cinderford were in N2N! Smile

Billingham rugby club make more signings for the start of the new season in n2n

We are delighted to announce the signing of the powerful runner Louie Groark

DoR Peter Evans “After playing his rugby at Ealing, London Welsh and London Irish Wild Gease Louie returned to the north east. He played some 7s in the summer and decided he wants to have a rack at National 2 with us. He has fitted in well I the short time he has been down and looks to have a great skill set and a powerful running game. We have some real depth and most importantly competition in the backline for the foreseeable”

They’ll have a baptism of fire in their first game that’s for sure.

Roth look to have built up a squad to challenge this season.

Roth warmed up last week with a 40 points to 7 win last week against Newport Salop and have just arrived in Guernsey where they will take on the Raiders tomorrow, before rounding off their pre season preparations at the Lane next Friday against Durham University.
First game up for the Titans in the league are newly promoted Billingham at Clifton Lane on Sat. 2nd September k.o. 2pm

Rotherham seem to be the big spenders this season with most clubs adopting a more cautious approach.  Billingham have signed a good number. Not sure how many local clubs will be encouraging  their players to play for Durham County next season.

A few years ago Sandal had several players in the Yorkshire team. But you always knew they would be heading west up the M62. Most people wished them well as you always want to see players play at a higher level. 9 times out of 10 they returned to us after a few years

Billingham won’t be involved in Durham County next season as they are now at level 4.

Roth rounded off their pre season tonight with a highly entertaining 22-19 win against Durham University at Clifton Lane.

Try count was 4-3 to Roth.
