Raider, the RFU FCS explicitly said players when surveyed wanted an end of season cup window. Admittedly that's was some time ago but when has anything with the RFU been 100% accurate?

Number of Walkovers now at 77  ...... my prediction of 100 by tomorrow is looking possible. Just call me Mystic PP Big smile

Question. In my area (west London) we have had a great deal of rain, further west I would suggest has seen much more. What are the arrangements for games not played to be rearranged? Any ideas?

No coach for our nearly 3 hour trip to Shelford tomorrow!
Players going up in a mixture of cars and a mini bus, don't  quite know what happened  but not an ideal way to be on the road , the pee stops on the way back could be challenging,  a bit of re jigging and a couple of debutants make up our squad for the game.....up the hill

The travel allowance didn't go far enough for one?

So 94 PJC games not happening although about 8 of them are postponements, not sure if they will go ahead unless they play Easter Saturday assuming they aren't already.

Which means 111 games are happening with 109 clubs receiving first round byes .... so plenty of interest.

I believe 592 teams entered.

Only Regional 1 Championship are due to play on Easter Saturday.
And Newent v Stow on the Wold in Regional 2 South Plate.
So the postponed games could be played then, we shall see.

I am so disappointed in these clubs that withdrew. No excuse, they had all season to plan for this when they chose to enter.

Robb, not true they had 2 weeks at most to plan. Yes they entered the competition a while ago but the absolute disdain show by the RFU Competitions department on "managing" a draw has seen some clubs decide it just isn't worth the effort. My guess either Monday or Tuesday they will continue down this front by "managing" the next round of draws in the Counties Cups. If you won your Home game in Round 1 expect an away draw in Round 2. Today's Rugby paper alludes to some of the poor organisation shown. A Cup "window" does not work.

It only works if clubs want it to work. Maybe for next year, they can spread it out a bit. A friend of mine I spoke to at the match yesterday suggested have 1 pool game just before the league season starts, 1 as the first game back after Christmas and 1 just before Easter and a semi final just after the league season finishes, then you give them 2 weeks to prep for a Twickenham final (and it should be a Twickenham final, Worcester just doesn't have the same appeal)

Interesting that Counties 1 Championship which has a final at Twickenham had only one walk over in the first round (Liverpool St Helens at Keighley ) with all other games played from what I can see.

In the knockout cups, do the second and subsequent rounds follow the draw that has been published, or are we waiting for someone at Twickenham to pull balls out of a bag.

Just goes to show that clubs will make the effort if the prime English rugby stadium is on offer for the final.

Perhaps, but it is not the only tournament with a final at the patch.
All the Championship finals are to be played there, and the others saw more teams pull out.
