Don’t often visit this site .My club departed the National Leagues some seasons back .I watch a Premier league club,a level3 side and level 6.
I enjoy them all but I am immensely hacked off with the 9 home games in the Premiership.
I could put up with it if there was any semblance of a plan or at least a vision but nothing
The loan to Newcastle is just finger in the dyke stuff. The lack of jeopardy and new blood is killing the competition.
The RFU are distracted by the grass roots rebellion andPRL are just self interested and incapable of driving change. This house of cards could collapse this summer impacting the whole game.
The title of this thread seems as far away as ever.

I certainly think that I'm not alone in my feelings towards promotion and relegation within Prem supporters and even Falcons fans.

I do watch DMP and Billingham regularly, as well as Middlesbrough who are looking good for promotion from Regional 2 North. I agreed that Nat 1 is very competitive and throws up some great games. Looking forward to a few more planned trips over the next few weeks to Caldy, Chinnor, Coventry and Nottingham.

I would argue there's so much more to club rugby in England than what the Prem serves up.

Worcester Facebook - foregone conclusion? No players yet.

"Worcester Warriors continue to engage with the Tier 2 Board of the RFU to satisfy the requirements of entry to the league.

If successful, we are working towards a very tight timescale to ensure we are fit for purpose to play competitive Rugby for the 2025/26 season, alongside all of the other components that need to be in place to ensure we have a great product at Sixways.

Naturally, we have welcomed support from various organisations and individuals, however, we have not issued any contracts of employment at this stage."

Further on in the Facebook posts came the comment that Premiership loan players will be used to make up a team.

Seemingly there are no contracts currently being issued by the new Worcester owners at present, gossip has it they are struggling to get past the minimum requirements to be allowed into the league structure.

I believe as far as the RFU are concerned them buying Bill Sweeney a couple of large gins cleared all debts!

The RFU will not make any announcement till after the SGM
If they announce any of the 3 have a slot in Prem II it will throw so much petrol on the Sweeney fire from junior clubs, they will have no chance of putting it out.
They will need to have Red Adair present not Bill Beaumont
I think thats pretty obvious to all.
The announcement will come a week or 2 post the SGM and then it will be all over and too late!

Ealing and Cov failed the rigged Minimum Standards Audit. Reckon I am done with rugby for the next few years. What is the point?

Chin up mate. I feel your pain.
Have posted about it on the Nat 1 board too.

Time for Ealing to take them to court. They have been fobbed off too many times over the years. When are they going to say enough is enough and actually force the RFU to answer for their uncompetitive policies?

Again looking at the WW Facebook pages, the opinion expressed is that Championship and Tier 2 are different beasts so paying rugby debts is irrelevant

The twin effect of clubs lending money to a failed business partner to keep their market intact and then the refusal to let other competitors in based on some arbitrary choice of numbers of spectators who might be able to get in to watch, those are not just slightly anti-competitive. They are behaving as a cartel behaves.

And on the point of failure, which was that they did not have planning permission, Cov were quoted £500,000 in order to get the PP through in the six-month timescale the MPRB gave them. Why would you risk half a million quid when you don't know whether you are going to qualify as Championship winners and then you have to go through a play-off.

Forget the law, the government should step in. This is blatantly illegal.
Broken down. Beyond repair.
