I have also heard that due to this we (those who do not make the later rounds) may have a big gap of no rugby when the 6 Nations is on, although I expect some friendlies in that period.

When are the league fixtures due out? One imagines Cov and Chinnor may have had a steer that they won't be meeting during early weeks of season, hence arranging a friendly?

The Clubs have the fixtures list and are now working through any issues they might foresee and we should hear something in the near future (allegedly).

Suggests season starts 21st or 28th September.
My birthday is 21st. Within hours of being born, just outside the maternity hospital, Bedford beat Notts 37-6.

did your Mum not make it to the labour ward in time? or had she been there, but discharged herself in order to get a good spot at Goldington Rd for the game?

Allegedly we had a late summer…and being a grumpy git even then (only stopped crying for my godmother), no doubt my desire after four hours was to see the rugby.
I suspect blooming experts thought, trapped wind, burping, feeding….what has actually changed….all i wanted was rugby in September. Which preseason half satisfies, but the first league game is the moment I await.

HT Cov 21-14 Mose.
Two late tries giving Cov the advantage. Nearly a whole different home team to take the field for the second stanza, so it'll be interesting to see how that goes.
