Sedge 24 (1) Club 36 (5). FT

Club and their forwards dominated large periods of the game and the driving maul was superb. They without doubt deserved their win.

Sedge will go again after the break but another tough game to come Rams away.

Club thanks again I hope you have a safe journey home. Enjoy your night.

Rabbie. Keep the noise down tonight 😂😂😂

Albion 16 (1) v Rams 21 (4). Well done Rams grinding out a win at a very difficult away day. Now 8 from 8, although I hope they don't end up paying for not getting the BP come April as they did in previous seasons.

Well done Rams. Good to see them putting right some wrongs from seasons past and taking the win at Brickfields.

The early December fixture against Richmond could be a classic with both sides unbeaten so far. If Rams get through the 3 'Rs' of Rotherham, Richmond and Rosslyn Park before Chrietmas then they may well have broken the back of this season.

Some very tricky assignments there though. Good luck to them as, from what I've seen so far, I'd say that they are good enough to play in Premiership II when it materialises.

Yes they are certainly setting the pace.

The sign of a title winning team is the ability to come out on the right side of the tight games, particularly away from home which happens too often to be luck. Also it depends on having a good squad because injuries will occur.
A seamless transition in terms of replacement is critical, i.e whoever wears the shirt follows and executes the plan.
There are no easy games and teams will turn you over if you are not on it.

Useful try bonus point for the Lions at home to Rosslyn Park, every point could be vital later.

Just seen yesterday's attendances. 189 at Leicester. Surely it can't be sustainable playing at this level with so few following?

The Lions will never have large crowds even when Leicester Tigers play away from Welford Road, there are several thousand who travel to away games. The Lions are very successful raising funds though hiring out their facilities and through sponsorship. As a community club there is a lot of support locally, just not through fans. I wonder how many away supporters come to Westleigh Park?
As a club new to this league, they are yet to attract followers, most of the other teams in this league have been in it before, or even higher. How many fans do you think Bishops Stortford would need to finance a team in the new Prem 2 if they were lucky enough to get in? Do you think they will instantly get more through the gates if they are one of the new teams struggling to get any results? Takes time you know, especially with everyone having to watch their finances.

They wouldn't have anybody left to do it, they had SEVEN senior and first team academy players playing aginst DMP yesterday CensoredCensored

The regulations permit nine.
Could be worse, the Championship sides are permitted 13.
Nat 2 only permits four.

The unloved Cup starts soon, and the Premiership sides lose their internationals and will want to rest older warhorses, so will play more of their academy players.

The Championship clubs have stated that they want to restrict squads to six loan / EAP players.
And clubs are working towards that for this season, though three clubs have contracts in place that prevent it.

Didn't mean to upset youTigerburnie. Just pointing out 189 is the lowest attendance I've seen at this level. Given the average in the league is 664 currently my line of thought was it must be tough for a team with low attendances to compete at this level given players are paid and match day revenue will form a chunk of total expenditure.

In general, I'm amazed at how low attendances are throughout the league Appreciate rugby isn't a popular sport but this is the 23rd to 36th best teams in the country. In football the upper half of the championship will have 25k at most games. I guess it probably just reinforces how little the RFU care about growing the game.
