No Champ game in Jersey this w/e but, as pledged before, Coventry have opted to maintain their travel plans and make a w/e of it. It'll be great to see them & the support for amateur rugby at this end is hugely appreciated.

Details of their itinerary, for anyone interested:

Cov showing their class! Do you think this will this set a precedent for other clubs who already have their flights booked?

Other clubs won't have Simon Martin, Pierre Koffmann and Marco Pierre White on board though Wink

Totally humbled by this act. Looking forward to see everyone associated with Coventry, just a shame that the weather may not be as welcoming!!
Safe travels peeps, a warm welcome awaits you.

Sunshine & showers Brizz, F4 breeze - doesn't sound too bad, & a damn sight better than the mingin' conditions today with F6/7 & near-constant rain...

Could be a bumper crowd for a level six match. Salisbury RFC may be in for a new experience. Is the clubhouse open for viewing the RWC semi finals?

The clubhouse will remain open throughout Saturday... (but won't be open Friday)

Yes definitely, loads of Blues fans have kept their flights and accommodation and will be there on 17/18/19 Nov.  We were hoping for a match to watch but Jersey RFC team are away Newbury.

Sadly yesterday was one of the few days when a scheduled Reds' home game clashed with a Jersey RFC home game - a deliberate attempt so that there'd be a home game most weekends. And now it's too late to juggle the calendar around. Outside chance our women may have a home game that w/e, which would provide a chance to convene, have a beer and watch rugby - will update if/when confirmed.

Back to yesterday, a really good club day & great to see friends from Cov. They trained in the AM, then had a run-around with some of our junior players, then stayed for lunch & team-bonding while others enjoyed JRFC 50 Salisbury 15, then a good crack in the clubhouse afterwards. Thanks to Cov for their support... the spirit of rugby!
