| another good win rothman 2 great start for you lads and thanks for the updates another good win for the dalesmen tough encounter today well played tynedale but its saying they scored 4 trys today on the nca website which would give them 2 points they only scored 3 in the first half and none in the second |

Sorry for the delay in replying Chris. Thank you for your kind comments. Yes it’s been a great start for both our teams. From our perspective we have kept hold of our squad from last season & made some great new signings. Feet on the ground though but looking good at the minute. Looks like an open contest in National 2 North too. Interesting start. Lymm look very strong this time as do Leeds and yourselves. I suspect Sheffield will be in contention this time too. | yes lymm leeds and sheffield are all looking strong we have won our first three games but its come at a huge cost in injury terms next up otley who gave leeds a good game so we will see where we are after that one all the best for the rest of the season |

We played a friendly at home to Sheffield Tigers last night (Wednesday) in the first of two pre-arranged home games to give competitive game time to some of our younger lads and more senior ones coming back from injury. We have a larger squad this season but as only 20 can be selected on a matchday, it is good that players not in the squad, get valuable minutes in a competitive game. It was a good workout but unfortunately only lasted 60 minutes. I don’t know whether it was pre-planned for that length or whether the awful conditions had anything to do with it. We ere winning 49-7 when the game was brought to a halt but the score was not as important as the minutes for the squad. We have another planned game at home to Leeds Tykes in November, both of which I believe are / were free entry for all. |
