If it's on...
RTW 0 v 5 Wimbledon, Dons need this to keep the pressure on the top two.

The Wells backline to continue their fine form but Dons to win it upfront.

Forgot to post but clearly and on all past form would have said TW 0-5 Dons.
Will they let us travel to the island in 2 weeks time? Would be a shame if the last top 3 head to head does not happen.

I'd keep an eye on  https://www.gov.gg/covid19resources" rel="nofollow - https://www.gov.gg/covid19resources

Richmond Saxons had got as far as flightside yesterday morning on their way to Jersey before cancellation.  Jersey changed their advice, "...only undertaking essential travel into and out of the Island. This does not include travel for medical and compassionate purposes or travel by key workers required to keep essential services running across the Island.".

Agreed. It would be a shame as that top 3 race has been enthralling.

What was the score when Wimbledon hosted Guernsey? I read somewhere that the earlier result could be followed by the RFU if they attempt to finalise the positions. God knows how they would achieve that?!

It was 22-16 to Guernsey. But I don't think that will go down well if they tried that, especially because it impacts promotion and play-off. No matter what they do, aside of play the season to conclusion, someone won't be happy and be prepared to sue. Be it Wimbledon for being blocked from the chance of promotion if they go for random algorithms or North Walsham from being denied promotion if they void the season altogether.

I don't think it would be by way of a random algorithm, there would be an independent panel who weigh up many factors, e.g. past results, form, injuries (more difficult to ascertain at lower league levels) etc. and make a decision. By way of example, the panel could take the view that on the result you posted, Guernsey beat Wimbledon (4-1) away and therefore find that a win at home for Guernsey was the most likely result. However, another 4-1 win could result in Rochford taking the title. Another factor could be the points difference lending itself to bonus points being awarded.

The alternative is to call all future fixtures 0-0. Don't forget they did that at the World Cup with far bigger financial interests at stake. I think the idea of a team at this level seeking to bring a legal action is odd. What would the claim look like - loss of earnings or loss of opportunity? How much do clubs here even make?

Both the above are based on the games not happening which of course they still could later on.

I can’t see WRFC doing anything but follow whatever decision is made, and we are expecting the worst. We put ourselves in this position in Kent on 5 Jan.
I firmly believe we would beat Guernsey over there (we have a very good record on that trip) but that is as maybe I guess.

What happened on 5 Jan?

I'm sure the Guernsey contingent will be hoping you're not on any independent panel given your firm beliefs. On balance, the panel may consider Guernsey's earlier away victory better evidence of a home win to follow too. Interestingly, a 4-1 win to Wimbledon wouldn't be enough would it?

Down at the other end - LIWG may fall too which was still in their hands to avoid.

I am not claiming to be anything but biased!
We lost to Sevenoaks on 4 Jan.
A 4-1 win would move us level with G on points - not sure about points difference.
Anyway we have lost 3 and they have lost 2 as it stands - if the league stops now they will deservedly get it I would think.
