Caldy 5 vs 2 Bedford Caldy to maintain their run of form but Bedford to keep them honest

Hartpury 5 vs 1 Richmond Hartpury to win by 10 points but Richmond to get a 4 Try bonus

Doncaster 5 vs 0 Nottingham The Knights to exact their revenge for the away defeat

Cornish Pirates 0 vs 5 Jersey I think Jersey will do a number at the Menaye

Ealing Trailfinders 5 vs 1 Coventry Home win but Coventry will make them defend

London Scottish 5 vs 2 Ampthill Assuming a similar strength LS Squad to last week will do the job but only just

Caldy 5-1 Blues Two sides hitting form but on the Wirral Caldy to win it

Pury 4-2 Mond Visitors to narrowly lose but score 4 tries

Donny 4-0 Archers Both teams looking to find form but home advantage to be decisive

Pirates 1-4 Jersey If the luck stays with them Jersey to win by a single point. I will watch the stream but wish I could be there on the terrace at the Newlyn end.

Ealing 3-3 Coventry Easily the tie of the round between two very good prospective premiership teams surely the RFU will stream this one. Should be a great crowd.

McQuins 5-1 Ampthill I hope Amps take at least a point IMO they add hugely to this league

Caldy 1-5 Bedford. Two in-form teams and Bedford don’t like travelling north. But I think their style of play should prevail. Might be wrong though.
Hartpury 5-0 Richmond. Hartpury are another form team and should get the bonus try win.
Doncaster 5-0 Nottingham. The Donnie’s look like they might be back on track again.
Pirates 0-4 Jersey. What has happened to the Pirates? Jersey’s form has dipped but they should grind out the win.
Ealing 5-0 Coventry. Enough said.
L Scottish 2-5 Ampthill. I don’t care what super duper rugby mercenaries LS put out, the As are showing real fight lately and should have enough to register a much needed win.

PS Appreciate Corporal Carrot’s comments about this match.

To quote Cherub: "Pirates 0-4 Jersey. What has happened to the Pirates? Jersey’s form has dipped but they should grind out the win"
We lost several high class, experienced players at the end of last season - some retiring, some going to other clubs. We have a very young, inexperienced squad with a lot of potential but clearly with a lot to learn.

Fully agree with this. I watch most Pirates home games via the stream and when they are good like second half against Donny or against Jersey at St Peter they are easily top 4 quality and they have a real core of cracking young players but probably lack the depth in their squad to compete with Ealing this year.

We have a supporters' evening tonight, it will be interesting to get the coaches view on the progress of this squad. Against Nottingham and Donny the defence was very strong - then we go to Bedford and concede seven tries.

I was more surprised by the lack of creativeness from Pirates, normally the backs have more spark and score some tries.

I am more than ecstatic that our very own Harry Doolan has got a chance from the bench tomorrow. Following an op during the summer, his return has been blighted by niggle after niggle. A truly delightful lad who lives and breathes rugby. Only recently turned 21. Fingers crossed that you get a chance Harry. Grab it with both hands if you do.

Caldy 1 - 5 Bedford … The Caldy faithful are living the dream at the moment. Their team is playing out of their skin and returning results. You will enjoy this fixture guys. If Bedford decide to play it could be a belter.
Hartpury 5 - 1 Richmond … Glos 2nds to take the spoils, but Mond will not make it easy for them.
Doncaster 5 - 0 Nottingham … Both teams have not been at their best this season, but an improving Donny at home should prove too strong for a Nottingham side desperate to regain its mojo.
C Pirates 0 - 5 Jersey … Pirates have not been at their best this season, but they are rebuilding and it sounds as though they will be a force again, but not this season. Jersey have had a run of really tough fixtures and although they are not at their best should win this one.
Ealing 4 - 1 Coventry … No pitch advantage here for Ealing against a very capable and exciting Coventry side. This could go all the way and I wouldn’t bet against an upset, even though I am backing Ealing…. Just!!
L Scottish 5 - 0 Ampthill … This saddens me. McQuinns should have won in Jersey and if they retain all of their imports then it will be a very long afternoon for The Mob. The worst thing will be the consequences as LS are bound to now move up the league….we’ve seen this scenario before and it just isn’t right. Good luck Ampthill

Caldy 1 - 5 Bedford have been wrong about Caldy for many weeks so I am backing Bedford

Hartpury 5 - 0 Richmond. Mond have certainly lost their Mojo and don"t look scoring 4 tries in a game

Ealing Trailfinders 5 - 1 Coventry sorry Cov fans at home  I would give you a fighting chance

McQuins 1 - 4 Ampthill basement battle

Predictions:
Caldy 1 v 4 Bedford - Caldy on a roll and feeling confident but I just think Bedford will edge this one, Blues are on a great run
Hartpury 5 v 1 Richmond - Hartpury are a tough prospect at home and they should win this by a decent margin
Doncaster 4 v 1 Nottingham - Two out of form teams. Donny lost at home last time out and the players will want to put that right - close call.
Cornish Pirates 1 v 4 Jersey - Whilst always a tough team to beat in Penzance, Pirates don’t have the quality of previous seasons. Reds to win this and it may be more comfortable than the points would suggest.
Ealing 5 v 0 Coventry - As good a run as Cov are on, I think Ealing will be too strong. Coventry are not the same team away from home.
London Scottish 1 v 4 Ampthill - This will be close. I think Amps will nick it.

Donny Knights - best team in Yorkshire

More than likely the font size was inherited from the source they copy and pasted it from. To overcome this, you could format the font size, which is found above the message, when you type your new post.

I don't think it is a bug with RM, but HTML can be glitchy if not formatted correctly.

Ealing Trailfinders team to face Coventry:

Surprised to see Shingler starting at 12.

Interesting particularly against Cov who put some seriously heavy traffic through the inside centre channel. Shingler is a class player so offensively it may be a move to change their kicking strategy. His defence will certainly be tested at 12 against Cov who have got some powerful ball carriers.

Coventry squad to play Ealing Trailfinders. One of the reasons Cov has performed so much better this season t (on the bench), a centre at full back, han last has been consistent availability for selection, due to a lower injury count. This week though there are a significant number of changes, with a loan prop brought in, and a change in the locks.

On the positive side though Pat Pellegrini is back in.vHe's Ben an exciting gain to the team this season, willing to back himself with ball in hand.

1.Toby Trinder .2.Jordon Poole (c) 3.Ollie Andrews 4.Rhys Thomas 5.Adam Peters 6.Tom Ball 7.Josh Bainbridge 8.Senitiki Nayalo 9.Will Chudley 10.Pat Pellegrini 11.James Martin 12.Will Rigg 13.Will Wand 14. Shea Cornish 15.Louis James

With Brown, Talbot-Davies, Tyas, Dodd, and Seward out, that's a significant chunk of bulk and experience missing. Pellegrini's return is the one bright spot.
I, for one, am not too confident...

Ealing 19 (3T) - Coventry 22 (3T) - Cov win turnover and elect scrum. Likely to kill clock.

Ealing 19 (3T) - Coventry 22 (3T) - FT. Well played Cov. Exciting match. Craig Hampson played very poorly, which I unfortunately said sitting right next to his wife. OOPS.

Terrific result, again, for Caldy. Well done, Coventry. And a magnificent win for Ampthill. Up the table we go.

Great game to watch. Pirates deserved at least a point but 6 tries for Jersey and it could easily have been eight or nine. My man of the match was Russell Bennett despite him missing 4 of his 6 kicks at goal - his defence and distribution were brilliant and if he could kick as well as his general play he wouldn't be playing for Jersey or at this level but walk into a premiership squad. Given the injuries a great result safe trip home lads - Ealing next week.

Ealing twitter stated red card, but I think it was actually a second yellow based on what I could see with my own two eyes.

Well done Coventry. Ealing were outplayed in all aspects. The Coventry supporters were rightly very vocal. The Coventry BBC radio commentator could not contain himself and seemed quite emotional. I thought the Coventry defence was exceptional . Well played Coventry well deserved.

More than likely the font size was inherited from the source they copy and pasted it from. To overcome this, you could format the font size, which is found above the message, when you type your new post.

I don't think it is a bug with RM, but HTML can be glitchy if not formatted correctly.
What's up Islander? I was just replying to a post!

With Toby Venner available I predict Jersey will beat Ealing sometime this season but I am targeting the day before my 70th birthday for that one. Great league this!

As I understand it, the usual Cov commentators (John Butler - [CovKid42] and Richard Moon) were both sidelined today, so no idea who that was.

A big day!

Ampthill help with survival.
Caldy pull off another good scalp.
Jersey put more pressure on Ealing with the home game to come.
Are nerves getting the better of Ealing?

Stole my thunder The Blues.
For me the most significant result was Ampthill winning at LS. However, this now puts Richmond in the firing line.

Well we took the spoil’s yesterday - 32- 17 (5-0) which was much needed. Nottingham scored a beautiful try, which should at least be in the shortlist for try of the week 👏. Billy McBryde scored an interception try at the death to take the bonus point, another 3m and the second of the Nottingham chasers would have got him. That result keeps us in the mix for too 4 along with Bedford and Hartpury there is a mini battle for the 4th place - exciting times!

I agree with CC. A good game at the Mennaye yesterday, one which Jersey dominated for large parts, but Pirates just wouldn’t go away, which kept the game honest until the final whistle. The pitch looked dreadful, but played really well, but must have been draining as lots of players cramping up towards the end of the game. My MOTM was Holgate. The lines that he ran were simply superb and always made meters. Brilliant display.

2 intercepts makes 2 points of difference.

Blues pushing to regain the lead lost their lobo and Knights getting their tbp could make the difference for top 4.

On current form don't rule out Caldy for a top 4 place and if Ealing lose a couple more games Cov could be hunting them down. Cracking league - we should be looking forward to play-offs.

Totally agree regarding playoffs, if not for promotion then 2nd to 5th could compete to be in the final at twickers with the prem men and ladies

Great idea stuff the RFU and do it anyway. 1-4 or 2-5 it doesn't matter but it would showcase the rugby at this level. If not at Twickers the Stoop or RAG would be just as good and I bet the TV companies would gobble it up. They max out on hours of a strange fishing tournament so playoffs by the best Championship clubs would surely pack them in. I've just gorged a huge Chateaubriand lunch with extra Malbec so if this post is even less lucid than my usual drivel be gentle lads.

Good options but why are the grounds London Centric? Caldy are proving that there is a game up North and are well supported travelling to London is becoming very expensive for Supporters. The Game could be at Sale Sharks, or Darlington Mowden Park stadium ( the only ground outside Twickenham which can hold 28,000 !!!)
Already the RFU has emasculated Woman's game up North with no clubs North of Leicester.

Twickenham was my choice because it could be a 3 game play off finals day, surely it is most players dream to play their, my Doncaster played their in a cup final and it is still talked about.

The venue can be any ground with a decent capacity and which has decent travel links (including a proper airport if Jersey are involved). DMP might be ideal (the best Pork Pies in the world imo are Taylors in Darlington but the Airport at Middleton St John hardly qualifies) but it would make more sense to pick a venue which ties in with other end of season matches.

Wow I did not see a first ever win at Ealing coming ! Great win win whilst missing 5 regulars.
To answer Kimbo's point, Richard Moon away & myself were both not there, for my part my poor physicality now means no away games & it yes,  I have witnessed some stuffings at Ealing, so Saturday was particularly sweet.SmileSmileSmileSmileSmile
BBC CWR commentator was Carson Wishart who is a freelance.
