Any coaches or DOR’s, Chairman noticed the rhetoric from the RFU about the medical provision being demanded of clubs of our level ? ( community rugby - unfunded by the RFU ) which puts huge responsibility on the club medical lead and further significant expenditure on already stretched budgets.
It will be interesting to see what the cost of liability insurance will be for our volunteer GP’s with this new liability of visits to ensure compliance and sanctions !
Shambolic and irresponsible imho, with volunteers falling away from community rugby at all levels how is this burden going to help struggling clubs in the community game who can barely find a medical professional who will give up their time, nevertheless the huge responsibility of liability for first aiders et al  ?

The medical standards are those agreed by Clubs at Levels 3 and 4 through discussion with National League Rugby over the last few years. They are recommended this season and will be mandatory next season. The intention is to protect players and ensure that they, as semi-professional players get the medical support they need.
