https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/64094933" rel="nofollow - WRU have approved 12 a side fixtures so clubs can fulfil fixtures Itt seems that although there have never been more registered players, games are being cancelled because clubs cannot field a team. I don't follow the game in Wales, but this caught my eye - I assume you just lose the back row. Perhaps they could play 12, 13, 14 or 15 players if both agree. Strange but very sad - or is it a governing body taking a pragmatic view?

| I remember playing for Wigston Old Boys 5th team with a three man pack and full back line, cohazelnut rugby it was called and believe or not we beat a team of 14. Regularly swapped players to get a match on and often played with a player from each team do a half each as the ref didn't turn up, didn't need anybody's permission we just got on with it. |

No league games or merit tables. Just 30ish guys wanting to knock s h I T out of each other and then have a few beers . It didn’t matter who won, we would meet on the same Saturday next year and try again. ------------- oldman |

| It's nice to see the clubs rise and inevitable some will fall, but it's more important that people play the game because they love the game, my son played and I kinda hope at least one of my grandkids will too. |
