Bedford Rugby programme preview of todays game.
Competition going back to group stages, with semi and final.

Clubs guaranteed 14 home matches 11 League, 3 Cup.

Personal feelings, would prefer a 13 league home matches, and even if it is end of season based on mid table standings a similar competition to current.
Teams 3 to 14 play round 1 (1 or 2 legs)
Six winners progress with 1st and 2nd place teams guaranteed home tie for quarter finals.
Semi
Final

The 'end-of-season' format that's applied during 21/22 is flawed, with clubs having very little time to make arrangements for games, including travel, broadcasting and marketing - this invariably has an adverse effect on crowd size and costs...

My personal view is that I'd prefer 14-team league, but I'm afraid that's not going to happen this year.

Not sure if it’s being end of season, or that nothing was revealed about it until the New Year.
The gap that saw Bedford wait six weeks between our final league  home match and the Nottingham game was far too long.
