Good evening all. Looking forward to the match ups this weekend and what an interesting set of fixtures we have. Two games kick off at 2.30 and the remaining games start at 3pm. Correction Lions v Sedge kicked off at 2pm All of them have the potential to be very close and difficult to forecast. Not that I would attempt to do so because, a) I am useless at it and b) it’s extremely difficult for me to predict my beloved Roth to lose…….or win, so, I will just concentrate on updates. So, on that basis, updates will follow on the games below: 2pm Leicester Lions v Sedgley Park 2.30pm Sale FC v Rotherham Titans and from 3pm for the following: 3.00 pm Birmingham Moseley v Blackheath Bishops Stortford v Plymouth Albion Darlington Mowden Park v Rosslyn Park Dings Crusaders v Rams Esher v Richmond Good luck to all teams. ------------- I could have been a contender. |

Enjoy the game Rothman. I've got a few lads joining today for their first rugby match ever. That was me a couple of years ago and now I'm hooked! Sun is shining and pints will be flowing. Couldn't think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

As a neutral I have to say I’m glad that Rams won today. The loanees situation is an absolute embarrassment and it shreds the integrity of the league. Hopefully Roth sendemoamwinowt next week. What’s going on at DMP!!! 4 games in 4 losses, 1 point (4 tries), closest we have come to a losing bonus point was 2 converted score away, so far!!! We kept all but a few player’s, brining in new talent in the right area, have a stable coaching set up, some of the best training, recovery and physio facilities in the league out of the Arena, have access to some fantastic DRs for the season also! There is something a miss? After preseason I was honestly impressed, thinking about his could be DMPs time, since placing 2nd in the 17/18 season. I was wrong, I’ve attended 3 games so far this year, but after today’s game I couldn’t stomach a beer in the bar afterwards, It’s so bad I have not entered the fantasy league for last 3 weeks as can’t bring myself to forecast 5 - 0 to opponents. Not taking anything from out opponents so far this season but they are facing up against a team who look completely disenchanted, falling apart as a team, making decisions which are actually gifting scores to their opponents, rather than fighting to the end, players and staff looking like they have lost faith and given up. It kills me to say it but after 24 years of watching DMP, traveling home and away (when I work allows) I’m considering posting my season ticket back in the morning. I don’t mind losing games, some of the best performances are from lost matches. I don’t think this is not a talent issue, the talent is in this squad without doubt. It isn’t experience with so many players with over 100 games for the club. It points to a deeper routed problems, which are to be beyond the knowledge of the lowly status of a member and fan such as I. |
