Only the six games at the time of writing, following the postponement of the Darlington v Moseley game.

I believe the temperature is set to increase dramatically during Saturday, but in so far as the game at Clifton Lane is concerned, further snow is forecast in the early hours before turning to rain as temperatures increase. Temps will be only just above freezing until about 9am before reaching the heady heights of 9 deg C by kick off time.
Strong gusts of wind to around 40 mph with light to moderate rain persisting makes it a challenging day for both teams, so flowing Rugby may be difficult.

So to the games that as of now are currently on, but I will check in the morning if anything deteriorates.

They are :

2pm

——-

Rotherham Titans v Rams

2.30pm

————-

Sale FC v Leicester Lions

3pm

———

Blackheath v Dings Crusaders

Esher v Bishops Stortford

Richmond v Sedgley Park

Rosslyn Park v Plymouth Albion

Assuming everything goes ahead, updates will follow from 2pm.

Good luck to all teams. Rugby is alive and well in National 1.

What an addition Rotherham have been to the league.

Playing great rugby, getting good crowds, not relying on dual reg and we've got some top class posters on this board! Good to add another solid northern team too given the current London centric make up.

Just don't get too carried away and win the league!

Thank you Storty.

Another fine win for you boys. Your win at ours was no fluke and well deserved. Just shows what a fine team you are.

It was my birthday yesterday & today all my birthdays came at once.

Il magnifiquo.

p.s Richmond now top of the league.

Pps If Carlsberg did Saturdays ………….

Happy Birthday for yesterday Rothman. Enjoy your day.

Stortford are looking a good team now. Think they're now up to speed with the coach's tactics.

My other takeaway from today is if it's true Dings had no Bristol players today and they managed to give an excellent Blackheath a very good game then hopefully that's evidence enough for them to start playing their players every week.

Well done Rotherham, a good win in terrible conditions. Was the attendance really just 250?  Enjoyed the 'third half' video thank you, and Rams gracious in their 1st defeat of the season.

Almost a third of the way through the season now and I think the Nat 1 title will be won by one of the 4 'Rs' of Rams, Rotherham, Rosslyn Park or Richmond.

I think there are going to be a few more twists and turns over the coming months, and I wouldn't be surprised if Rotherham were right up there come April.

The RP v Albion match looked like a real ding dong battle at The Rock too, with the Friday night game between Rams and Richmond in 2 weeks likely to be a classic.

Well done to all for getting the games on in today's conditions.

Tough game at the RAG today in difficult, wet and windy conditions. Sedgley relentless in attack and defence in the first half and scored the only points with a penalty from the last kick of the 40 mins.

Wind behind them, Richmond tightened up in the second half, aggressive defence and some decent handling in the circumstances. Three tries, plus one held up over the line, one disallowed by touch judge and ref for reasons unclear to the crowd and another one butchered. But 42-6 would not have been a fair reflection. 21-6 probably was. Still unbeaten, Richmond top table on points difference (or is it games lost, I'm not sure?).

Broken down. Beyond repair.

As between equals, numbers of wins then nomber of draws.
It was good enough for Cambridge, but it would be tough on Rams were they to lose on that measure again.

Hopefully, the both open slots in Prem II will go to National 1 sides

Was the attendance really just 250?  This crowd seems to be the default attendance for some reason. I haven’t seen the published attendance yet. They are usually published in the RP I believe.

For example there were 847 at the last home game v Plymouth yet 250 shows in the report.

That would make a lot more sense. I know it was a sodden day, but with the league leaders in town and Rotherham's fervent support at home, I'd have expected up near significantly more than 250.

Well done Rotherham, solid defence in those conditions. Look forward to seeing you down at OBR at the end of March (hopefully on a dry and fast pitch Wink).
