As I raised the question, I thought I would kick off this seasons predictions in the hope that I am not pre-empting anything. Apologies to whoever is taking over from Fatty1973.

TRING 5-1 Rochford Hundreds- A baptism of fire for RH about whom little is known. Tring however fired high in the league last season and expect a good start from them.
BEDFORD ATHLETIC 5-1 Sevenoaks- Was impressed with Ath's performances in 2nd half of last season. Good reports about visitors and expect them to perform well. Fast AW surface.
SIDCUP 5-0 CS Stags 1863- Cup to start with a win at home, although what team will Stags bring to the party
Wimbledon 2-5 LIWG- MOTD. Expect a feast of rugby from two top sides expected to do well. Cant chose between the two, but just favour visitors.
GUILDFORD 4-1 Tunbridge Wells- Not sure what to expect from two of last seasons mid table teams. Both will seek to erase any doubts. Just gone for home advantage.
DORKING 5-2 Guernsey- Expect fast expansive rugby from both sides like the 50-45 result in Guernsey on last meeting. D's have quietly been getting on and will seek to impress doubters. That said, could go either way.
Brighton 0-5 HERTFORD- Welcome to Brighton and the realities of L5. Despite good vibes from the South Coast, Hertford should have too much fire power. A tough intro for the newcomers.

Hoping not to make too much of a fool of myself on this opening day of the season.Ouch  With all clubs being tight lipped over the summer it is hard to know what strengths and weaknesses exist. A big welcome to the league returnees Guernsey and LIWG and promoted sides. This season looks on paper to be the strongest competition for many years. Good luck to ALL.

Tring 5-0 Rochford - Rude awakening for the (alleged) moneybags visitors
Bedford 5-1 Sevenoaks - Longest trip Oaks have ever made and on the plastic, advantage to Bedford I say
Sidcup 4-1 Civil Service - Tough one, Home advantage
Wimbledon 5-2 London Irish Amateur - If it's true Irish have lost a few players, then Dons have it and will be back with a vengeance after missing out last time.
Guildford 0-5 Tunbridge Wells - Without Sinckler or Ward, I see Guidford in trouble
Brighton 0-5 Hertford - Too much experience from Hertford.
Dorking 1-4 Guernsey - Can only see a Guernsey win but want them to stay in the league!

Ok, been a watcher for many a year and thought it about time I joined in. I think I understand the scoring so here goes:

Tring 5 v 1 Rochford
Bedford 4 v 0 7Oaks
Sidcup 4 v 1 CS
Wimbledon 2 v 5 LIWG
Guildford 4 v 1 T Wells
Dorking 2 v 5 Guernsey

I'm probably way off but at least there's 25 other weeks to improve. Good luck all Thumbs Up

Tring  v  Rochford      5-2     The Tring hillside to derail Roch. It does take some getting used to.
Bedford  v  Sevenoaks   5-0   Though Bedford started slowly last year, expect them to pick up how they ended.
Sidcup  v  CS Stags      5-2     Has the grass popped its head through the sand yet? Could go the other way too.
Wimbledon  v  LIWG     5-2     Coin flipped.
Guildford  v  T Wells      1-4    Could be a tough season for Guildford.
Dorking  v  Guernsey     1-5    Not sure about this one.
Brighton  v  Hertford      0-5    Fingers crossed Hertford can dampen what will surely be a lively atmosphere

Expecting some shocks this week. I reckon one of the relegated from above clubs might struggle (someone usually does) and one of the promoted will set off like a steam train until the grind sets in and the wife starts nagging about the long day away from home, things to be done, etc etc.

Good luck to all.

As mentioned very happy to do the scoring this year, now I understand itWacko
Tring  v  Rochford      5-2     Really not sure about this one as Rochford have stormed the lower divisions and it could be a shock but Tring to sneak it

Bedford  v  Sevenoaks   5-0   Bedford were slow to start last year but came good at the end and expect a better start this year
Sidcup  v  CS Stags      5-1    Going with home advantage as haven't got a clue
Wimbledon  v  LIWG     0-5     Geese look like they have a large squad and feel Wimbledon may have peaked last year
Guildford  v  T Wells      5-0    Pure guesswork
Dorking  v  Guernsey     5-2    Going with home advantage
Brighton  v  Hertford      0-5    Think the new boys will find it hard going at first

I expect it to be high scoring weekend and with 5 new sides in the league we are stepping into the unknown. Welcome to all the new teams and postersWink

Is it that time again already?  Welcome back everyone.  Here's to another cracking season.

Tring 5 v 0 Rochford
No side climbs forever.  Rochford to be comfortable at L5, but Tring have such a good record at home.

Bedford 5 v 1 Sevenoaks
Bedford looked better the longer last season went on.  Sevenoaks though had a terrific season across the Club last year.  I think Bedford will win, but Sevenoaks won't make it easy and I wouldn't be surprised if it goes the other way.

Sidcup 5 v 0 CS Stags
Sidcup look like they've had a reasonable pre-season.  Too much for Stags.

Wimbledon 4 v 1 LIWG
Wimledon unlucky to not go up last season.  They'll start strong.

Guildford 1 v 5 T Wells
A mixed season for both teams in 18/19 and only 4 points in it on the final table.  Your guess is as good as mine.

Dorking 5 v 1 Guernsey
Dorking to catch Guernsey cold.  I'm curious to see how strong Guernsey will be this season.

Brighton 0 v 5 Hertford
Hertford reliable all season long.  Assuming nothing major had gone wrong over the Summer I'd expect them to be around the top 5 again this season.

Tring 4-1 Rochford Tough opening game for RH and Tring will welcome them to a new league!
Bedford 5-1 Sevenoaks on that awful plastic, Bedford will be too strong.
Sidcup 4 v 1 CS Cup are dogged and will grind a result.
Wimbledon 4-1 London Irish Both have too much money, so I don’t care.
Guildford 0-5 T Wells TW should prevail but both will be in the bottom 3.
Dorking 0-5 Guernsey Away side will want to make a statement.
Brighton 0-5 Hertford Tough place to go but Hertford should have enough.

So this season looks to potentially be harder to predict than the last! I think we will have some high scoring opening games this weekend.

Tring 5 v 2 Rochford - Rochford are the unknown. Lots of talk of their rise but Tring are formidable at home and experienced at this level.

Bedford 5 v 2 Sevenoaks - Bedford are strong at home on the plastic but Sevenoaks I think will surprise a few at this level and have a good season.

Sidcup 5 v 1 CS Stags - Sidcup traditionally start strong and I think CS blow too hot and cold.

Wimbledon 5 v 2 LIWG - Two strong teams, but I'm going with the Dons at home. I think they will be more settled at this level than LIWG who may still be bedding in new players etc.

Guildford 2 v 5 T Wells - A real tough one to predict. Heard nothing from either club really. I think both may struggle this season. G's has never been a happy hunting ground for Wells but I think they may just edge it.

Dorking 2 v 5 Guernsey - I think the islanders will be up there challenging for an immediate return, but Dorking are strong at home.

Brighton 0 v 5 Hertford - A long season ahead for Brighton in my opinion and Hertford are a classy outfit.

Good luck to everyone!

Tring 1 - 5 Rochford - away team paying as much as £500 a game. Plenty of nat1 and champ players in the squad now. Strong season ahead
Bedford 1-4 Sevenoaks - away team too strong. Best back row player ive seen in years (#6/7) name Mark or Matt i believe
Sidcup 3-3 CSS - sidcup strong as always. CS got rid of dead wood and players who were there for the wrong reasons. Good recruitment
Wimbledon 0-5 LIWG - geese too strong
Guildford 1-4 Tunbridge Wellians - wellians too strong here - excellent recruitment and a 100% record in pre season
Dorking 0-5 Guernsey - guernsey tigers too strong here

Good Afternoon all, hope you all managed to find something to do on a Saturday through the summer.
Rugby Season is here again and looking at the league this season - its going to be tough out there on the pitch and even more so for the predictors

My Lottery Numbers for tonight are 3 6 10 17 23 3 and 7

Tring 5 v 0 Rochford Barbarians - Welcome to Rochford Barbarians who will find the slope, intensity and Tring Taliban difficult to deal with. They will shock some teams but not this week.
Bedford 5 v 0 Sevenoaks - Welcome 7oaks or are you eight now probably not the best year to get promotion, Bedford to continue where they left of last season and on their favourite carpet
Sidcup 4 v 1 Brexiteers - Going with home team on the sand but you never know who has walked into the Brexiteers changing room in the summer!
Wombles 4 v LIWG 1 - Welcome back Irish, its been a few years. But will find out that the Wombles are a team to be reckoned with. Both will be in the mix for top 4.
Guilford 1 v 4 - Tunbridge/TWells/RTW Unless Guildford have recruited well they could struggle this season, expect the Wells to do well this season
Dorking 0 v 5 Guernsey - Welcome back Guernsey hope you enjoyed your visit to Nat 2 and still not easy in this league either.
Brighton 0 v Hertford 5 - Welcome to Brighton hope you are ready to entertain some away supporters (another nice night out). Brighton will not make it easy but Hertford will not start this season like last year and the need a touch judge for Saturday!!!!

Lottery Result or my Prediction !!!!!

Tring 5-1 Rochford. Tring always good at home, unsure of Rochford at this level.
Bedford 5-0 Sevenoaks. Bedford finished last season well.
Sidcup 4-1 CS Stags. Watched Sidcup at the end of last season, good young team.
Wimbledon 1-5 LIWG. Game of the day.
Guildford 1-4 Tunbridge Wells. I think Guildford will struggle this season.
Dorking 1-5 Guernsey. Was surprised when Guernsey went up, not surprised to see them back down.
Brighton 0-5 Hertford. Hertford with lots of experience.

N3LSE Week2 Predictions.
As I am away for a week I am posting my predictions early in anticipation.

TRING 5-1 Bedford Athletic- Two home games should set up a good start for Tring. Anything less will be a dis-appointment for them.
GUERNSEY 5-0 Brighton- A really tough place to go for the new lads and a big reality check. Raiders should put a big score on the board.
Tunbridge Wells 1-5 DORKING- Am hoping that D's can start the season well. A fast pitch will help our lads, but no nothing of Twells recruiting so could be closer.
LIWG 5-0 Guildford- This should be a formality for Irish, but who knows? When will the first upset appear.
CS Stags 1-5 WIMBLEDON- Many fancy Dons this season. Going on the hunch that they have strengthened, but much will depend on the outcome of their Week1 result.
SEVENOAKS 5-1 Sidcup- We saw a different Cup in the closing games of last season to draw away from trouble. They will need to start well, but I fancy a well touted Oaks to be ready for this derby game.
ROCHFORD HUNDREDS 5-2 Hertford- If the money club have recruited from Championship and N1 as has been reported, then we all might be in for a surprise, but Hertford are no slouches and I expect a close encounter.

In the absence of knowing tomorrows results my task is made more difficult, and these predictions have been made blind. A fascinating league. Good luck to all.

Tring Boys 4 Rochford Hundreds in boot money 1. I hope so any way!
Bedford Ath 5 Sevenoaks 0. Ath to carry on where they left off.
Sidcup 1 Stags 5. Not sure I can crack the enigma code but Sidcup last season were inconsistent too.
Wimbledon 4 LIWG 1 . Wombles disappointed last term and need to get their act together. Geese were a scattered flock !
Guildford 4 RTW 1 Not match of the day I suspect!
Dorking 4 Guernsey 1 . Dorking to prevail perhaps. Amateur status of these teams to be kept under review.
Brighton 0 Hertford 5 . I could be completely wrong here but I wonder whether this could just be Hertford's season?

Morning Rollers!

I hope the summer has treated everyone well, I am certainly ravenous for some ruggers. Will make some incredible accurate league position predictions next week, needless to say I think Sidcup will most likely storm the league in style, our revered defence coach has even suggested we may not let a try in all year. Optimism abound, and even better, the pitch is looking glorious and resplendent with green, green grass.

Tring 4-2 The 100 - I am buying into the Rochford hype (the new East Grinstead?) at least for a few yers. However, Tring at home is a formidable opponent and think they will squeak it.
Bedford 1-5 Sevenoaks- Shock of the day, big day adrenaline to send Sevenoaks home
Sidcup 5-0 CS - Its ladies day which always adds a bit more 'fire' in the belly
Wimbledon 1-5 LIWG - Match of the day, I think both of these teams will be right up there by the end of the year
Guildford 1- 4 TW - By far the hardest game to call, I think both could be scrapping down the wrong end of the table this year, just feel TW have a bit more nouse
Dorking 0-5 Guernsey - The last time I saw Guernsey they were very very very good, I imagine a year in the league above has only made them stronger
Brighton 1-4 Hertford - Hertfords experience to win this one

Best,
DD

Good wins for Rochford and Sevenoaks yesterday.  Congratulations to both.  Not may of us called either result.  I wasn't massively surprised by any of the others.

Was anyone at Bedford or Tring yesterday?  Any feedback?

Not at Tring personally. A good friend of mine plays for Tring, he said Rochford are of very decent quality with a large pack of forwards. Not sure what their backs are like, but forwards will certainly be a threat to any team apparently.

They look like they're going to be a tough team to beat this season.

Not surprised at all by the Rochford win having played them twice last year; a squad with bags of Nat 1 and 2 experience. The pack are their strength and in particularly they have a brilliant lineout. I’m sure that result will have ruffled a few feathers in the league and dismissed the “they’ll get rude awakening crowd”
