With the PWR semi finals taking place this week end, The Rugby World Cup later this year and the general growth of the Women's and Girls game. Is there any appetite for a discussion section on this board to discuss matters relating to the above?
Once established it could be the focal point and central point for discussions across the game- very much as it it for all the other leagues- PWR is one of the 3 elite rugby leagues in England- along with the champ and Prem....????

thoughts???

I would contribute

Managed girls teams since 2014, women more recently and have 2 daughters playing

Bit most of my input would be that too many clubs trying to tick a box running a female set up is actually diluting things, the RFU dissuading clustering adds to that and the performance colleges sucking nearly as many 16 yo girls as boys in is denuding u18g teams so much many stop then. Most players then go to uni so the switch to adult is further eroded

Would.be better CB's were able to decide what works best in their area and plan accordingly

That's interesting to read.

My club had it's best team based around players who started at University combined with other women naturally good at sport. The club girls set up hardly contributed to the women's team.

One of the key differences between women's and men's rugby is how quickly a woman can go from community (hobby) rugby to paid pro.

As Trailfinders Women are in the PWR, I suspect there would be comment from our lot. I'd say similar for Hartpury, but they have no posters on the men's forum.
