Ealing Trailfinders team to play Coventry at Trailfinders Sports Club on Saturday 2nd November in Round Four of the Greene King IPA Championship: I'm happy to see Elijah Niko getting a run out, as I think he brings something very different to the wing. Otherwise, largely unchanged. I'll wonder for yet another week where all of the new signings are. Interesting tactic this year to start Tommy Bell and not have dedicated fly-half cover.

15 Tommy Bell 14 James Cordy Redden 13 David Johnston 12 Harry Sloan 11 Reon Joseph 10 Craig Willis 9 Craig Hampson 1 Will Davis 2 Matt Cornish 3 Craig Trenier 4 Dave McKern 5 Harry Casson 6 Kieran Murphy 7 Jordy Reid 8 Rayn Smid ©

Replacements:

16 Alun Walker 17 Jordan Els 18 George Davis 19 Ben West 20 Andrew Durutalo 21 Nathan Fowles 22 Lewis Jones 23 Elijah Niko

re: Ealing v Coventry ....... that last Coventry one better win try of the week. And, from the score, the kicker deserves some mention for making it a tie.

I remember watching video highlights of Worthing's away win at Fylde in N1 a few years ago - only saw Fyldes tries despite Worthing scoring over 50 points and winning a close game.

I imagine most home teams who produce video highlights do so mainly for their own fans so give them what they want?

TAS, quite so. Right from James Stokes’s quick tap and go from the mark it was great to watch - even if David Halaifonua did go over on the far side of the pitch from my vantage point.

It’s not even in the 4 Try shortlist

With all the goings on with Leeds and now Sarries I am beginning to look back fondly regarding trips to Aspatria Otley Waterloo Blackheath to name a few. Money or the lack of it did not matter, just great days out. Any more?

Strangely, London Welsh are potentially one promotion away from a reunion with North Walsham, who we played alongside in National Four/ Five South back in 1990-95.  At the time, playing them felt like an indication of how far we'd fallen - when I mention it to people now their eyes light up, and we all reminisce about the good old days.
