Predictions:
Ampthill 1 v 4 Doncaster - Donny should be refreshed after 3 weeks off
Richmond 1 v 5 Jersey - Richmond have been great so far this season but I think Jersey will be too strong
Cornish Pirates 5 v 0 Coventry - Pirates to maintain their great record at fortress Mennaye, a misfiring Cov are in for a very tough afternoon
Hartpury 5 v 2 Bedford - A high scoring game but Hartpury at home have been very impressive this year
Ealing 5 v 0 London Scottish - 100 points is on the cards I’m afraid, LS have got to massively improve to even keep this respectable. Rout incoming.

Ampthill 4-1 Donny - Two good well matched sides so could go either way but going with home advantage
Mond 2-2 Jersey - On present form Mond should have the edge particularly at half back but hopeful Jersey can keep it close in the forwards
Pirates 5-0 Coventry - Home advantage and Cov yet to perform
Pury 4-1 Bedford - Close game could go either way
Ealing 1-4 London Scottish - Doubtful perhaps but it might happen.

Ampthill 4-1 Doncaster. Doncaster are a strong Championship side, but The As are grinding out results themselves and they have home advantage.
Richmond 2-5 Jersey. I envisage lots of tries but think Jersey will get the win.
Pirates 5-0 Coventry. For whatever reason, Coventry are not getting the results everyone expected. The Pirates should get the win in Penzance.
Hartpury 5-2 Bedford. Lots of tries here too but Hartpury are having a good spell so I expect them to get the win.
Ealing 5-0 London Scottish. Anything else will be a major shock.

Ealing should be very disappointed if it’s anything less than 100 points. Scottish are truly woeful this season. They’d be lucky to be mid-table Nat 1 the way they are playing.

Jersey's selection policy puts Mond in the same league as Falcons. Back in the day the games against Falcons were the only fixtures that season when Jersey "rested" Tommo.

Oh to be an Ampthill supporter. A healthy half-time lead closed to 18-15 with minutes to go. We then get a line out 5 metres out, win it, push for the line, lose it on the line, their winger scoops it up, runs the full length of the pitch, and scores..

Final score Ampthill 18-20 Doncaster

Fabulous away win for Bedford, it certainly wasn’t fancied in the predictions (congrats dropout22, the only one who got it right), we’ll done Bedford, COYB.

Ampthill were in control for most of their game, apart from the last 15 minutes. 5m line out on Donnys line, driving to the the line and Doncaster’s 2 stripped the ball, made a little break, off loaded to the wing, who ran the length of the pitch to win with the last move of the game.

I want you all to line up in a circle and pair up in three's alphabetically by height.

In the last two games Ampthill have thrown away leads in the last five minutes, sacrificing four points, which would have seen them sitting pretty in 4th place in the table. The only consolation I have is that both opponents, Jersey and Doncaster, are both potentially top four sides.

However, thinking out loud like this, I might as well say that if London Scottish had beaten Ealing yesterday they would have got their first win of the season……………….

An error strewn first half by Donny, and very positive reactions by Ampthill on these errors meant that they took a deserved lead into the half time. After the half time Donny came out better for the clear hairdryer kicking that occurred - the big difference I think is our lads played all the way to the end. Amps will feel disappointed Donny relieved (most likely). It was a very tight game and I must say I was very happy to take the W.

Amps are a cracking Championship team who will surely get better every season. That bloke Kipling summed up last minute stuff:

Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
