Coventry vs Ealing Trailfinders 2 - 5 a battle of the wannabees so hard to call going with my head not my heart

London Scottish vs Yorkshire Carnegie 5 – 0 a route is on the books

Nottingham vs Cornish Pirates 4 – 1 home advantage the difference

Hartpury  vs Newcastle Falcons 0 – 5 Newcastle warming up

Doncaster Knights vs Jersey 4 – 1 got to go with us improving and using home advantage but could easily be the other way

Bedford Blues vs Ampthill 4 – 1 derby match but Bedford got the experience (bumper crowd? maybe....)

Onward and Upwards C'mon Donny!

Coventry 1-5 Ealing Trailfinders  Should be an absolute cracking match

London Scottish 5-0 Yorkshire Carnegie I fear Christians v Lions but hope YC pull things together

Nottingham 4-1 Cornish Pirates At Home Notts to edge it

Hartpury 0-5  Newcastle Falcons  Hartpury not interested in the Cup and Falcons can rest half the team and still win

Doncaster Knights 3-3 Jersey Although 5-2 either way probably more likely, great ground, pie & bovril I'm looking forward to it and hope its dry.

Bedford Blues 5-0 Ampthill At home a Blues Banker.

My predictions (for what they're worth considering I'm dead last at the moment)

Coventry vs Ealing Trailfinders 0 - 5 I feel like Ealing are getting a better handle on how their team is gelling, which should be scary for the opposition.

London Scottish vs Leeds 5 – 0 I'll take the gimme prediction of the week.

Nottingham vs Cornish Pirates 4 – 1 I think Pirates rest players ahead of the start of the real season with Ealing incoming next weekend.

Hartpury  vs Newcastle Falcons 0 – 5 Hundred point match? Maybe.

Doncaster Knights vs Jersey 1 – 4 I think Donny pay the price for the morale sapping loss to Newcastle last weekend.

Bedford Blues vs Ampthill 4 – 1 Blues very thin according to what I've heard, but I think that they use homefield advantage to pull this one out.

Predictions:
Coventry 5-2 Ealing - a great battle in store and maybe a few markers to be put down.
London Scottish 5-0 Leeds - same old story but I think Carnegie will score a few points this weekend.
Nottingham 4-1 Cornish Pirates - a good, tight contest. Could go either way.
Hartpury 0-5 Newcastle - self explanatory. Could be a long day for the home side.
Doncaster 4-1 Jersey - expect a very close game at Castle Park. Two pretty well matched sides.
Bedford 5-1 Ampthill - local derby but Blues at home should get their first win of the season.

Ealing Trailfinders team to play Coventry at 19:30 on Friday 4th October at Butt’s Park Arena in Round Three of the Championship Cup: A strong side - I thought that they might rest players ahead of the start of the season proper, but no. I'm curious where Lewis Jones is as he hasn't gotten a sniff of the field so far. My only concern is that there are continuous changes to the starting line up, which may stop strong partnerships from forming.

Coventry team at home to Ealing tomorrow.
15 James Stokes;
14 Junior Bulumakau,
13 Rob Knox,
12 Heath Stevens,
11 Max Trimble;
10 Rory Jennings,
9 Tom Kessell;

1 Toby Trinder,
2 Scott Tolmie,
3 Phil Boulton (capt),
4 Alex Woolford,
5 Nile Dacres,
6 Adam Peters,
7 Luke Wallace,
8 Senitiki Nayalo

16 Darren Dawidiuk, fr2
17 James Gibbons, fr
18 Gareth Denman, fr
19 Ben Nutley,
20 Jack Ram,
21 Pete White,
22 Will Maisey,
23 Will Owen

Quite a few changes between start and bench, and one injury confirmed - Andy Bulumakau out with a confirmed broken cheekbone, smashed by an unpunished shoulder charge early in the defeat of Bedford last week. Unlikely to be back in for quite a while.

Great to see Nile Dacres starting, following his bench place last week, following an injury break of well over a year.

London Scottish 5-1 Leeds - Home win

Nottingham 4-1 Cornish Pirates - a good, tight contest.

Hartpury 0-5 Newcastle - Rolling on

Doncaster 1-4 Jersey - close game but feel donny in decline

Bedford 5-1 Ampthill - Blues at home should get their first win of the season.

Coventry 0-5 Ealing Trailfinders ... Probably game of the day, but Ealing to wear Cov down in an absorbing encounter.

LS 5-0 YC ... You never know, they may even score a point this week!

Nottingham 5-1 Cornish Pirates ... Don't think that the Pirates have got up to speed yet, but another good match up.

Hartpury 0-5 Newcastle Falcons ... Lamb, Lion...Lion, Lamb.

Doncaster Knights 1-4 Jersey ... Always a good, tight game with the Knights, but I think that Jersey have started the better of the two teams.

Bedford Blues 5-0 Ampthill ... Yes, a local derby and I hope that it is a good occasion, but I expect the Blues to put the 'friendly' behind them and score a sizeable revenge.

Good luck everyone and no injuries please.

Ealing Twitterist doing considerably better though; averaging a little over one exclamation mark per minute, to virtually zero Cov posts.

Very worried about that game after tonights performance. Listened on the radio (enjoyed the announcers) and Ealing seemed to have huge posession, but an inability to finish for the second straight week. It cost them a table point this week. They cant afford that going forward.

After 3 games in, who would have thought that LS would have the same number of points as Ealing? This rugby is easy to predict.

Sounded like a cracking game at Coventry last night. To me that shows that they will be a force this season and I can’t wait to see them at St. Peter for the season opener next week. The Reds will need to be at their best that’s for sure. And as for Pirates... wow! What happened there? Glad to see YC getting on the board but yet another thumping.

Still pre season for Nottingham so couldn't see anything other than a Pirates win. As usual to remain in The Championship is the only goal

I agree with this and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Both sides made mistakes and two yellow cards and a real defensive howler in the first half were too much for Jersey to overcome. Donny deserved the 5 points today but 2 losing bonus points makes the group wide open. Both teams are capable of beating Falcons if they produce their A game.
