Greetings Rugby fans from around the world and beyond. Week 2 of the 6 Nations is but a side show, an entree as it were for the main course that is National 1 Rugby. Moving into the business end of the season now and still all to play for. Both Rams and Richmond played on the rest weekend last week, with differing fortunes. Richmond got their 5 pointer at bottom club Darlington MP last week which was what they needed on the heels of a comprehensive defeat at Sale FC the week before. However, Rams followed suit by also falling to Sale FC, albeit in a very close game. Roth had the weekend off last week having gained an impressive win at Dings Crusaders last time out, which considering the loss of fly half Rob Povey after 35 minutes and replaced by Zac Poole, whose regular position is second/ back row, demonstrates the flexibility of the team. The seven games taking place later today, in order of kickoff time are as follows:
Some very interesting match ups again this week. Titans field a couple of new signings in prop Eoin Harrison formerly of Darlington MP, who actually played against Roth in both games earlier this season. The second new signing is wing Calum Barrett who adds even more pace in the backs. Thanks RM2. Another great round of fixtures with the pick of the bunch for me being Tigers v Moseley - a muddy arm wrestle too tight to call. Rosslyn Park v giant-killing Sale - Park on plastic I fancy to win. DMP v Esher also intriguing with the Mowden boys playing for their pride and Esher for survival.
The other fixtures I see as strong home wins all round but good luck to all, enjoy. |

FT Roth 24 Lions 7 A very disjointed display from Roth. Had a flanker playing at 10 again as injuries bite. Scoreline flatters Roth. Lions battled well & stopped Rotherham getting the bonus. ------------- It’s a small world but I wouldn’t want to paint it. |

The number of injured backs is a little worrying TBH. We are not known for our backs play anyway, so can't afford to lose anymore. As you said, not a great performance, Leicester really battled well and just stopped us in our tracks for most of the game.They deserved a bonus point.

There are definitely no gimmes in this league. I know what you mean about injuries. Will try and find out. Looks like we lost Charlie Capps before the kick off too and no recognised fit fly half.
