Do you think Saints will be able to hold the hoards of Ealing fans flocking to the game ?. I know of at least nine people going !

We managed a fan mini-bus. So, there are at least 14 of us.

This is a landmark moment in RM. Someone makes a reference to the volume of Ealing support and the entire RM congregation resists making cheap/easy wise-cracks, eg "both of them". The silence is so deafening that the aforementioned supporters (both of them ) then have to provide the punchline to their own set-up efforts...

We're the only ones left in the competition, so it is up to Ealing to represent here as well.

I’ve got a carful and I know of a large(ish) group going by train. That’s at least 20 by my reckoning.

It will be interesting to see how many players that Saints play that have played for Blues.

This was the team v Nottingham was as follows. Got to be half of these turned out for Bedford at least once.
15 Hendy 14, Witheat 13, Litchfield 12, Savala 11, Seabrook 10, Makepeace-Cubitt 9, James1, Iyogun 2, Wright 3, Millar Mills 4, Prowse 5, Coles 6, Benson 7, Scott-Young 8, Petelo-Mapu Substitutes 16, Walker 17, West 18, Nonleh 19, Pearson 20, Brown 21, Weimann 22, Pasco 23, Glister

Those, who my memory, tells me have turned out for Bedford are: 15 Hendy, 14 Witheat, 13 Litchfield, 10 Makepeace-Cubitt, 9 James, 1 Iyogun, 2 Wright, 4 Prowse, 16 Walker, 18 Nonleh, 20 Brown, 21 Weimann, 23 Glister. 13/23 - so I reckon just over half is correct.

Ealing Trailfinders to face Northampton Saints: Strong side from Ealing. My big concern is having David Bridge at 8. He is a talented, young player, but I would feel better with Will Montgomery back there as he has played very well this year, or with Rayn Smid, who brings scads of experience/leadership. I presume this choice is due to injury. Otherwise, a first choice squad. Great to see Cornish and Alo available - we'll bring in a very strong set of scrummagers to finish the match. - Lefty Zigiriadis
- Mike Willemse (c)
- George Davis
- Bobby De Wee
- Sean Lonsdale
- Rob Farrar
- Jordy Reid
- David Bridge
- Craig Hampson
- Dan Jones
- Tom Collins
- Francis Moore
- Reuben Bird-Tulloch
- Angus Kernohan
- Tobi Wilson
- Matt Cornish
- Kyle Whyte
- Biyi Alo
- Danny Cutmore
- Ollie Newman
- Lloyd Williams
- George Worboys
- Michael Dykes

Ealing playing very well excepting a wobble for ten minutes around a yc. Winning around the edges, but struggling a bit with Saints power in the middle of the field creating linebreaks.

That was a good Saints team, I see Saints were down 14 for 40 mins, but Ealing were still up at half time.

Jordy Reid was the Ealing outstanding player in my opinion. Knocked so many Northampton players back . One the best games I have seen this season.

Well done Ealing! Showing those in the Old Boys' club that the Championship can be dangerous and should be given the due respect.

Congratulations.
The next step is to win the league and ensure you get promoted.
You have earned it these last few years and deserve it.

Yep and there lies the fundamental problem with rugby in this country in that a team that very obviously deserves a crack at the top league is denied the opportunity so that serial losers like Newcastle can retain there place at the trough. It’s a cartel pure and simple and in any other part of life would be outlawed.

I would absolutely love that to happen, what a great narrative that would be in terms of promotion and relegation. A de facto playoff that we are likely going to be denied.
But Exeter away with basically their first team will be an absolute mountain to climb but you never know…

With the exception of their two England Internationals, they have been playing their first team.
