My Guesses:
Chinnor 0 vs 5 Ealing - although the pitch and lights may have a say
Caldy 1 vs 5 Nottingham - Caldy struggling a tad and Nottingham doing well
Hartpury 4 vs 1 Pirates - Difficult to shout out so giving a home win
Bedford 5 vs 1 Ampthill - expect a decent crowd and home advantage Cambridge 1 v 5 London Scottish - dependent on Scottish Team selection
Coventry 5 vs 2 Doncaster - I would like to say Doncaster but at home Coventry going strong On a wing and a prayer

Chinnor 1-5 Ealing ( Ealing to record their first ever win at Kingsey Road, having lost in 2009 )
Caldy 1-4 Nottingham ( Archers to edge to victory after a spirited performance from the Ravers )
Hartpury 5-0 Pirates ( Hartpury a force at home )
Bedford 5-0 Ampthill ( The Mob to get well beaten irrespective of the number of Baby Sarries in their side )
Coventry 5-0 Doncaster ( Cov to bounce back after their poor run )
Cambridge 4-1 London Scottish ( depends on how many Quins turn up for an away game )

Chinnor 0 - 5 Ealing - however Ealing have struggled on heavier pitches in the past, they have the power for it Caldy 1 - 5 Nottingham - Nottingham's back are too much for Caldy Hartpury 5 - 2 Pirates - Home advantage in a high scoring game Bedford 5 - 1 Ampthill - although a derby Blues will have been working on their attack ready for this (Edited for Ampthill team selection) Cambridge 1 - 5 London Scottish - Cambridge weren't good v Blues and Scottish ran us close both recently Coventry 2 - 5 Doncaster - should and probably will be home advantage but decided to go the other way!

Ealing Trailfinders to face Chinnor: Seems like a strong squad, though I'd rate Lefty over George Davis to start, and I'd like to have seen another young guy or two on the bench, for example Josh Taylor. This should be enough to get the job done. - Kyle Whyte
- Mike Willemse (c)
- George Davis
- Bobby De Wee
- Sean Lonsdale
- David Bridge
- Jordy Reid
- Will Montgomery
- Craig Hampson
- Craig Willis
- Ben Harris
- Jordan Holgate
- Francis Moore
- Angus Kernohan
- Tobi Wilson
- Cam Terry
- Lefty Zigiriadis
- Biyi Alo
- Matas Jurevicius
- Siya Ningiza
- Ollie Newman
- Michael Stronge
- George Worboys

Is Craig Hampson still a backs/attack coach at Chinnor? I thought that it was planned/agreed for him to be sitting out the Chinnor v Ealing matches this season due to a conflict of interest?
Likewise Worboys on the bench. He was one of the driving forces behind Chinnor's promotion from National 1 whilst on loan from Bath last year. He has also played for Chinnor in the Championship this season. Are there any regulations surrounding a player playing for one club against another that he has represented on loan in the same season. I'm not sure but would be interested to know.

Chinnor's website lists Hampson as Head Coach with Nick Easter Director of Rugby.
None of Chinnor's loanees from Ealing are playing tomorrow. I've no idea if any agreement was made over Hampson playing against Chinnor
Here is the Chinnor side https://x.com/ChinnorRFCThame/status/1879862002333675832" rel="nofollow - https://x.com/ChinnorRFCThame/status/1879862002333675832

George Worboys is listed on the bench for Ealing tomorrow vs Chinnor. He has been on loan to Chinnor from Ealing at some point this season, playing at fly half.

Thanks. Unfortunately I can't read that article in full. Must be a first at Level 2 to have a head coach of one side playing against that said side in a professional capacity.

I wish Chinnor good luck this evening, it'll be an intriguing match up and Ealing will be wary of not 'doing a Caldy' and being beaten by newly promoted part timers as they were at Paton Field two seasons ago.
Providing their is some trace of grass on the pitch and the lights have been topped up with Duracell Bunny juice, It'll make for a good evening. Hampson will be able to tell his (playing) colleagues about the 'coach to clubhouse' farm yard walk too.

There are 10, yes 10, Saracens players starting for Ampthill tomorrow. For context, Bedford have one Saints player starting. I’m not as opposed to DR as some members of this forum, I do think there is a good balance that can be achieved. But 10 is completely taking the pi**. I think Ampthill should be considered favourites for the game tomorrow. London Scottish take the most flak on here but I don’t think even they have fielded 10 Quins in the their team at any point.

That is ridiculous. What is the point of fielding a starting lineup with 10 players who are essentially from a different club (Saracens) under the banner of it being an Ampthill team?
The Mob fans might as well just go to the StoneX and watch Saracens 1st team play if they are content with the direction of travel and ethos that Ampthill have adopted.
They are an old club who fought their way through the National Leagues to Level 2, but have clearly lost their way now, which is a shame. Perhaps agreeing to become a Saracens 2nd team is part of a deal if they want to stay at Level 2 when Prem 2 arrives.

Cov's erstwhile record of seven wins from seven is in danger of being bookended by a run of seven defeats from seven if they continue to name lineups like tomorrow's. Rather worrying.

Ampthill had 11 Saracens in their squad when they played Chinnor in September but I don't know what the split was between starters and the number on the bench. London Scottish started with 9 Quins and had another three on the bench against Chinnor in December. All three Quins subs came on but I don't know if they ever had 10, 11 or 12 Quins on the pitch at the same time.

I haven't analysed all the selections, but given it's a European w/e & some of the Prem clubs are taking it seriously while others are less fussed, you'd imagine there'll be discrepancies based on which Prem club or clubs (if any) a Champ club has links with...

No disgrace in that scoreline. Well done Chinnor for limiting Ealing and their free-flowing backs to 4 tries and for scoring one of your own. Glad the pitch was in fine fettle and that the lights shone brightly (for the whole evening)

It wasn't the Ealing backs making the difference but the Ealing forwards
dominated the lineouts and the scrum so Chinnor rarely saw the ball.
I'll post the usual match report tomorrow
